Brother & sister team, Brandy and Ray J. Norwood cover the new issue of Jet Magazine and their new VH1 series, “Family Business” premiered last night and was a trending topic on Twitter.
While watching the show and seeing the Norwood family interact with each other, it’s kind of hard to ignore the pink elephant in the room. Brandy & Ray J’s “alleged” illegitimate brother has resurfaced in Atlanta with an offer of a DNA test…
It’s been said that Ray-J and Brandy’s dad, Willie Norwood, Sr. was a rolling stone. Well at least that’s what this dude “C-Dove” is claiming. (pictured above with Ray-J). He wants his time to shine in the “Family Business” and says that he’s been the family’s lil secret for way too long.
C-Dove (Real Name: Danyelle Brown) sold his story to the globe several years ago about being the illegitimate brother in the Norwood clan:

According to Brown’s Myspace, he “was born May 6, 1975, at University of Chicago, Lying In Hospital Chicago, Illinois, to his mother Lynetta Brown and his father Willie Ray Norwood Jr. both parents were raised in, and, are from Greenwood, Mississippi“.
After watching The Norwood’s new VH1 show, Brown wants his five minutes too and created his own webisode called “Family Unfinished Business,” where he’s challenging the the family to disprove his claims:
What I’m doing is standing up for a lot of people out there who don’t have a father. It’s still people 40 years old looking for their own father so can’t nobody blame me for what I’m doing.
You watch Maury and shows like that everyday. I know you watch other shows where people unite with their father and they be older than me.? It’s just some kinda closure that children that don’t have a father need.
He’s been laying in wait for the right time to pounce again and I guess the time is now.? After appearing on several radio shows and a host of blogs, C-Dove is now asking Brandy, Ray-J & Willie Norwood to meet him in Atlanta next month (May 2010) for a DNA test…” *sigh*

It’s obvious that C-Murder Dove is just trying to build buzz off of his association with the Norwood family. But if it’s NOT true, the Norwoods need to just silence this dude and call it a day.
This would make a great episode of Maury… or perhaps since C-Murder Dove is hyping up their VH1 show in his YouTube videos, the issue could be addressed on “Family Business”. Just a thought…
