Justice has been served and all you Florida A&M Alumni can sleep a bit easier in knowing that you real “freaky” secrets are still safe after FAMU reached an official settlement against the distributers of what was originally dubbed the “FAMU Sextape”.

According to FAMU’s website, the university and RK Netmedia Inc, an operator of sexually explicit web sites, reached a settlement Wednesday (April 8th), which should prevent the company from displaying the video, which shows the FAMU logo and school colors.
RK Netmedia Inc. apologized and acknowledged that the people in the video were not students and that the video was not filmed on campus.
As part of the settlement of a lawsuit filed March 16, RK Netmedia Inc. has agreed to pay FAMU $105,000 to fully fund two scholarships and pay $15,000 for attorney fees, while also promising to make a good faith effort to prevent anyone else from displaying the video.
?RK Netmedia, Inc. has already signed the settlement and with the Board?s approval, we expect that the joint consent agreement will be accepted by the court,? said FAMU President James H. Ammons. ?The resolution of this case represents a firm commitment by FAMU and its Board of Trustees to preserve the good name and reputation of this university for its students, alumni and the people of this great state of Florida.?
FAMU filed the complaint in U.S. District Court after discovering the sexually explicit video with references to the university on the website Daredorm.com.
The viral video spread quickly and FAMU’s president tool quick and decisive action, once it was revealed that the explicit video was full of paid actors & actresses.

The university is pleased that an amicable resolution was reached and the reputation of it’s students is still intact.? Most of the videos have been removed from the net, but as you all are well aware, the NOTHING ever gets fully removed from the internet…
