Atlanta Falcons receiver and return specialist Eric Weems was arrested November 16th in Dekalb County and charged with DUI. According to DeKalb County jail records, Weems was arrested on Nov. 16th, booked and released on $1,100 bond on Nov. 17.
Five days later Weems went on to complete a 4-yard touchdown catch in a game against the New York Giants.
This must be the a bad month for the Falcons, for Weems’ teammate, Jonathan Babineaux, is facing a felony marijuana possession charge following his arrest just last week.
Weems is from Ormond Beach, Fla., and Bethune-Cookman College and has completed six catches for 50 yards and two touchdowns this season. He’s the team’s top return specialist with 41 kickoff returns for 1,072 yards and 20 punt returns for 198 yards.
No wonder this has been hush hush until now…
