Meet 29 year old Joshua Basso of Tampa, Florida. Josh was arrested yesterday after he allegedly placed a several obscene phone calls to 911 operators. Authorities say that during the calls, Joshua asked a female operator about her breasts and whether she would have sex with him. He also told the operator that he was pleasuring himself.
When confronted by cops, Basso would not confess to masturbating while talking to the operator, as he claimed during the calls. Josh did, however, admit to placing the calls, but states he “did not think he would get in trouble for calling 911.” That assumption resulted in the horny caller being charged with a misdemeanor count of misusing the 911 system and he was promptly booked into the Hillsborough County jail, where the above mug shot was taken.
Asked why he chose to dial 911 from among “all the numbers he could have called,” Basso told police that his LG cell phone was out of minutes and he “called 911 because it was free.”
