You may have heard by now that Shaunie O’neal has filed for legal separation against her husband Shaquille O’neal. It’s not the first time these two have gone at it but is it the last? Shaunie first filed in 2007 and had Shaq on edge for quite sometime before deciding to reconcile, this time though Shaunie seems to be fed up over Shaq’s frequent indiscretions and she’s filing them papers! <que The “A” Pod ~ Usher’s “Papers” >
It’s only been a few months since the rumor mill stopped spinning over Shaq’s Atlanta side piece, Mary Jane.? In fact, there are still those who wonder if Mary Jane’s son is actually Shaq’s. Now Shaq’s involved in even more scandals involving children and paternity: a secret love affair with a fellow ball player’s pregnant fiance as well as his rumored live-in stripper chick with a one year old!
A string of emails turned up last week that busted the relationship between Shaq and Gilbert Arenas (aka Agent O)’s pregnant fiance Laura Govan (above). In the emails, leaked exclusively by Natasha over at TheYBF, Shaq & Laura plan a hook up and Govan even inquires about Shaunie’s whereabouts. It seems, Govan is an “associate” of Shaunie’s and seemed to watch her every move while she was plotting bag her man. What’s even worse about this entire situation is that Govan is pregnant with she and Gilbert’s third child and is due next month. These emails were dated March of 2009 (8 months ago) so there’s speculation that Shaq may possibly be the daddy!

Not long after this relationship was revealed, Shaunie quickly packed up the kids and headed to Cali where she filed for legal separation & spousal support and where she is most likely to gain the most under California’s community property law. According to THIS DOCUMENT (.pdf file)? revealed by TMZ, Shaunie is claiming residence in California and is taking the first step towards divorcing her Cavalier hubby. She’s a smart one that Shaunie!
It’s not really known if Shaq’s relationship with Govan is the catalyst, however it could possibly be a factor. It has also been revealed that Shaq has been playing house with a former Atlanta stripper chick that he’s moved up to Cleveland. Word is… he’s taking care of her AND her one year old son although it’s unknown if that child is his. (source)
I used to really love me some Shaq but after reading about his whorish ways…. I can’t even see it. I’m all team Shaunie now! Get em girl!!
