You may have already spotted the billboards all around town that features a young, smiling Usher Raymond. I even saw one myself last night as I was rolling down Peachtree Street and posted a twit-pic:

Well today the R&B superstar officially unveiled the “Be Iconic” billboards as part of the Boy’s & Girls Club’s “Be Great” campaign:
Five-time Grammy award winner, philanthropist and Boys & Girls Club alumnus Usher today unveiled a new billboard featuring his childhood photo as part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America?s? BE GREAT? campaign. Usher?s theme ? BE ICONIC ? ties to his profile as an award-winning, multi-platinum musical icon and a positive role model. He attended the Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga as a young boy. Usher joins the likes of Denzel Washington, Shaquille O?Neal, Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Muhammad Ali as part of BGCA?s new advocacy campaign, featuring successful Boys & Girls Club kids and encouraging every American to help young people BE GREAT.
Usher was joined at the ceremony by his mother/manager, Jonnetta Patton, Mark Lazarus (Chairman of the Marketing Committee for BGCA, and President, Media and Marketing for Career Sports & Entertainment), Roxanne Spillett (President and CEO, BGCA) and kids from BGCs and Usher?s New Look Foundation. and nope…there was no sign of Tameka.
