I caught up with NeNe Leakes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta a few weeks ago. She shared her favorite O.S.A.M. (Old School Atlanta Memory) which happens to be…what else? Freaknik.? Since she was once a student at the AU Center, I’m know dayum well she had some tales to tell…but she kept it clean.? For the most part, NeNe wanted everyone to know that she sometimes feels like she’s not given a fair chance in the media and that her newfound celebrity is a very bittersweet thing.
Since she seems to be the ‘realest’ in the gang, a ton of celebs and talkshow hosts have been jumping on Team NENE. So far, she’s recruited Anderson Cooper, Wendy Williams, Rosie O’Donnell & even Oprah’s BFF Gayle King!

None of this stuff really excites me. It’s great to be able to do it but I’m very humble. You know…I’m so blessed to be able to do this but no one ever dies from being humble. Fame is bittersweet. It’s a very very bittersweet thing.? You get to some meet great people like yourself and other bloggers, magazines and TV people but it’s oh so bitter. Cause people are digging into your private life and checking your privacy and saying things about you that are so untrue cause at the end of the day they don’t really know the great person that you really are.
I love Anderson Cooper! He’s friends with the president of Bravo, so he sends messages to him and he has given them to me. I absolutely love him and I’m so shocked….him being a news person. He told me he watches Junk TV, but even though watches junk TV he feels like I’m great and he loves me.
Rosie O’Donnell sent a message to me. She said “I Love You”…and she didn’t want to talk to any of the other housewives! I thought that was just crazy…and Wendy Williams!…What’s really crazy is Gayle King (who’s Oprah’s friend). I think the reason is I’m so just regular and real. I think it was great for them. Like…people like Anderson Cooper & Rosie… They’re around some of the most ‘fake-ish’ people ever. So when they get around someone like me and I’m just going bananas, they’re like ‘OMG I like her cause she’s just being herself’.
And you know what Anderson Cooper is VEEEERY goodlooking…but I don’t think he plays on this side of the street!
