Arrests Made in Murder of T.I.’s Friend, Philant Johnson

It took over 2 years, but they finally got em!? Two brothers?have been arrested and charged with the 2006 murder of T.I.’s?close friend.? Hosea Thomas, 34, (Left), and Padron Thomas, 40, (Right), have been charged with murder and felonious assault for the death of?T.I.’s assistant and childhood friend, Philant Johnson, 26, and the wounding of three others in the entourage.?

The Thomas brothers were patrons at the rapper?s after-hours party at Club Ritz in Cincinnati, Ohio and were disgruntled after being denied access to the Club’s VIP area. At some point?

during the party, one of them was struck in the head with a bottle.Upon leaving Club Ritz, T.I. and his entourage were followed by two SUVs and gunfire was exchanged, killing Johnson and wounding several others.? T.I. was slightly injured by flying glass.Hosea Thomas?has a criminal history?which includes drug possession and trafficking convictions.? He is currently being held without bond.? Padron Thomas is a listed sex offender and was previously convicted of robbery and rape. He is in the custody of the U.S. Marshal?s Service for an unrelated drug case.The Thomas brothers have each been charged with murder and seven counts of felonious assault ? one for each person inside the rapper?s vehicles.?
