Last Saturday, a select group of the city’s most notable residents joined special celebrity guest hosts Monica and Ne-Yo for test drives of the 2011 Porsche Cayenne during the luxury auto-manufacturer’s “Dance at Dusk” event.
Mo, who just completed the final show of the Passion Pain & Pleasure Tour with Trey Songz, says she’s happy to be home and is looking forward to spending time with her boys. She’s working on her next album, and says the title will also coincide with the next season of her BET reality show.
Detlev Von Platen, President/CEO of Porsche honored Monica & Ne-Yo, fellow Porsche owners, with a special gift of appreciation.

Monday, August 30, 2010, Princess (of Crime Mob) played host to a special Atlanta viewing party for BET’s new documentary “My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth about Women and Hip-Hop”.
Female MC, Rasheeda, V-103 DJ Traci Steele; model, Dawn Motgomery; hip-hop publicist, Dee Dee Cocheta; pop-culture expert Ronda Racha Penrice; music industry executive, Shanti Das; and rapper, Eshe from Arrested Development all took part in a panel discussion which highlighted issues that females in hip-hop struggle with in the music industry.
The panelists all revealed a common thread in their discussion, which was that hip-hop is a male dominated world. Women in hip-hop constantly have to fight to maintain respect in an industry where men call all the shots.
Shanell aka SNL’s celebrated her birthday with a party at Club Primal in Atlanta, Georgia. She was joined by her sis D. Woods (formerly of Danity Kane) and fellow “Girls Club” member Mika Means. Of course a party wouldn’t be a party without her Young Money label mates Lil Wayne and Drizzy Drake adding to the crew.
Ludacris was spotted on the upper level of Luckie Food Lounge Wednesday night scuffling with some unsuspecting fan. Strange thing is…his big “A”zz bodyguards stood and watched as Luda body slammed the seemingly innocent man.
Blam! Straight on his dayum back…
…and he had no idea it was coming!
Don’t be alarmed. It was only a video shoot for DTP’s front man Ludacris and rapper Shawnna for the first single from their upcoming album “Battle of the Sexes” and the “innocent fan” was non other than funnyman Lil Duval! Duval joined in on the fun sporting Ciara’s wig and it was fun times for all. The party continued downstairs as Yung Joc celebrated the release of his free cd “Grind Flu” (Click Here for free download), as all of Atlanta came out for support. Spotted in the crowd were Lil Scrappy, Shawtly Lo, D. Woods and more.
After a two-year hiatus, Yung Joc has finally released his third studio album but not without much anticipation and much drama. You see…Grind Flu, which was previously titled Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood under Bad Boy Records has been released under Joc’s own record label Swagg Team Entertainment and he’s giving it away for a mere $FREE.99. (That’s zero dollars and zero cents for all you slow pokes!)
Originally slated to be released on Bad Boy Records, the project was halted after Joc made the decision to sue Diddy’s record label as well as Block Entertainment for allegedly failing to fulfill contractual obligations such as paying royalties. Joc told Billboard.com back in May that he would bypass all that unnecessary Diddy drama “use some independent record promoters to promote my record.” Well, he definitely kept his end of the deal. He explained last night during a private listening session that his good buddy Gorilla Zoe encouraged him to put his foot forward and release it for free. The support from his labelmate gave him the added push he needed to make this bold statement.
Joc’s decision to release Grind Flu through Jive’s Swagg Team Entertainment imprint, places his project alongside groups Hot Styles (of “Lookin’ Boy” fame) and the GS Boyz (who recently smashed digital sales with their hit “Stanky Legg”) as an official artist of the label.
I heard most of the CD during the listening session last night and I’ve got to say…it was hawt! I think I’ve found my new personal mantra in “Check!” The CD features Shawty Lo, Bobby Valentino, Chris Brown, Pleasure P, and others. The full Grind Flu album is available for FREE right here…right now!
