Check out my new BFF, Yung Joc‘s new song entitled “Down Low” feat. AK and T-Pain. It’s really not about what you think…or maybe it is depending on your state of mind. I immediately jumped to my own conclusions before I heard it…but I’m from the “A” so please forgive me.
I almost forgot today was Friday… *sigh* I really need to get it together!! Anyway…he’s this weeks O.S.A.M. (Old School Atlanta Memory) from my new bff Yung Joc. He’s reminiscing about everything from Freaknik to Mozely Park to stealing polo’s at Greenbriar Mall. For those of you who don’t know, Joc’s a really funny dude. Like…he could actually have a 2nd career in the works as a comedian! I caught up with him at Bobby Valentino’s video shoot for “Hands on Me” a few weeks ago and he gave me the business when I walked smack dabb in the middle of one of his comedy sketches.
..and yes. I was really a bit peeved. But we made up.
I normally don’t make fun of our resident drug addicts, but Crip is an Atlanta staple that almost everyone has ran into a time or two plus he’s forever burned in our memories for his feature debut in “Crackhead’s Gone Wild.” This time, our hometown crackhead’ll be going down in history as the leader of an A-town style dance off held on the sidelines of the video shoot for Bobby V’s “Hands on Me.” He and Yung Joc broke it down and Crip walked away with the grand prize: YouTube fame and a few bucks from Joc.
Check out this behind the scenes footage from Bobby Valentino‘s midnight video shoot for “Hands on Me” featuring Yung Joc. You may also recognize the venue…it’s Zesto’s on Ponce de Leon. Well Bobby turned the clock back and had the joint looking like “Happy Days,” complete with old school cars, leather jackets and waitresses on skates!
Check out the behind the scenes footage and flix below:
The rumors are true. Joc and I were fighting but we’ve made up. And YES…I blasted his “A”zz on Twitter
Plies hosted a private listening party Monday (Dec. 1st) at Atlanta’s Patchwerk Studios for his upcoming album, “Da Realest”, and I can honestly say he got me. I’ve never been a big fan of Plies (please hold your fire) because I’m not really into all that goon buisness, but after meeting him and hearing the sincerity in his voice I’m finally a fan.
Plies began the listening session with a special shout out to all of the invited attendees. As we all sat and waited patiently to roast him, he greeted us all warmly and humbly thanked us for taking time out of our busy schedules to attend. He mentioned how blessed he was to be in a situation where he no longer had to worry about feeding his kids and taking care of his family. Continue Reading…
Bobby Valentino, the “Lil Shawty from Atlanta” (his words not mine ), finally dropped the video for “Beep”. The song features Yung Joc and the video is packed with ATL cameos like Rocko, DJ Drama, Sean Garrett & Lloyd. I think I even saw Shay “Buckeey” Johnson from Flavor of Love sitting on the couch.
