Michael Vick’s assets are dwindling fast. As the former Falcons quarterback completes his jail time, court documents reveal that he is drowning in debt:
Vick’s Schedule of Assets and Liabilities, admittedly incomplete, were filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Wednesday. In the documents the imprisoned Falcons quarterback lists average monthly expenses of $12,225 and a monthly income of just $277.69. The difference is $11,947.31. Vick’s monthly income is solely derived from a benefit pension plan and does not include the wages of 12 cents per hour he earns working in prison.
All y’all Vick supporters need to put your money where your mouth is. This brother is gonna need all the help he can get!
Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick’s money is in the news yet again this week. The judge in Mike’s bankruptcy case has determined that Vick’s finances are so screwed up that he needs a trustee to oversee his dwindling fortune:
“It has become clear since the filing of this case that Mr. Vick has very limited knowledge of the state of his finances. … It appears that Mr. Vick has routinely relied upon others to make financial decisions for him, giving them discretionary control over large sums of money,”

Former Falcon Michael Vick filed for bankruptcy protection yesterday in Virginia and claims between $10 to $50 million in debt. (Peep the full document (.pdf) and calculate it for yourself!) One of his creditors is his former employer, the Atlanta Falcons, who he owes $3.75 million as a pro-rated signing bonus.
Of the six other creditors listed in the court documents three are banks, including two that recently won judgments against Vick. The largest creditor is Joel Enterprises, Inc. with a claim of $4.5 million. (Source)

Marcus Deon Vick has been arrested…again! Michael Vick’s little brother was arrested early this morning in Norfolk, Virginia after an officer spotted him fighting some chick in a car. After being approached by the officer, dumbass took off and fled the scene! After being caught a few moments later by other officers, he failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI, eluding police, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. His partner in crime and the woman he was beating in the car, Delicia Lenora Cordon (her mugshot), was also arrested for public intoxication. (Source)
The National Geographic Channel has produced a new reality show which will feature Pit Bulls fomerly owned by Michael Vick. The new series, entitled ”Dogtown” will document four of the 22 animals that were seized from the Vick’s Virginia property and placed at “Dogtown, the Best Friends” animal sanctuary in Utah for rehab.
The four selected dogs are among the toughest cases at Dogtown, where experts attempt to “resocialize these seriously aggressive pit bulls,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“Dogtown” is currently in production on episodes set to premiere in the summer. (Source)
Michael Vick has applied to an early release drug program. If you recall, he tested positive for marijuana while under house arrest prior to his sentencing. If accepted into the program, it is possible that Vick could be released at least 12 months early.
Vick tested positive for marijuana in September while he was on supervised release following his guilty plea. The residential drug treatment programs at Bureau of Prisons institutions take place in units set apart from the general prison population, lasting at least 500 hours over a six to 12 months, according to Bureau of Prisons policy.
Upon successful completion of the program, non-violent offenders may be granted up to one year of early release. Staff members review the inmates’ records and behavior to determine if they are eligible for early release. (Source)
Let’s see…thats 23 months minus 12 months minus 3 months served would equal about 9 months to go! My guess is that he could be out by Thanksgiving of 2008, which would give him plenty of time to prepare for the 2009 season! Wishful Thinking!
