Tamar Braxton and her hubby Vincent Herbert held a carnival themed baby shower at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, California yesterday (May 5, 2013).

The 45-year old singer and reality star rocked a gorgeous figure-hugging little black dress paired with pink peep toe sandals.

After being hospitalized in LA just last month due to issues related to her lupus condition, Toni’s healthy appearance was obviously a welcome sight.

The Grammy award-winning singer posed for photos with fans before sitting down with Mario to talk about her newly reincarnated acting career.

Toni Braxton Hospitalized For Lupus Related Health Issues….

Singer Toni Braxton, who posed for the photo above last month in Beverly Hills, California during the Lupus LA 10th Anniversary Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon, was hospitalized over the weekend in Los Angeles, California.

The sultry songstress posted a tweet Friday evening alerting fans that she’d been hospitalized due to “minor health issues” related to Lupus.

Hey guys, I’m in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots, I will be home soon…Thanks for all the love&support! Xoxo

Toni Braxton Talks Drugs, Money & More on VH1′s Behind The Music [FULL VIDEO]

Just yesterday it was revealed that Toni Braxton felt some kinda way about her 1998 Oprah appearance (click HERE if you missed that), but did you know that Braxton’s Grammy award winning song “You’re Making Me High” was about smoking weed?

“A week before (writing the song ), I was introduced to marijuana, and I got high for the first time and so I added that in the song,” she said.

“In the bridge, I’m singing, ‘I want to feel your heart and soul inside of me/Let’s make a deal you roll, I lick/And we can go flying into ecstasy’. I was talking about (rolling and smoking a joint).”

Oh my! (clutches pearls) and to think I always thought she was singing about the emotional highs of a new love!

Toni Braxton performed at The Paley Center for Media’s Annual Los Angeles Benefit at The Rooftop Of The Lot in West Hollywood, California last week (October 22, 2012).

The soulful songstress also recently appeared on VH1′s Behind the Music, where she speaks of how her 1998 appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show felt like the beginning of the downfall of her music career.

Braxton, who filed for bankruptcy prior to her appearance on the popular daytime talk show, details how she was “reprimanded” by the media mogul for her lavish spending habits and basically made to feel like sh*t during the interview.

Singer Toni Braxton and her lil sister/reality show vixen Tamar Braxton were spotted leaving Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica yesterday (May 22, 2012).

As you know, Tamar was recently named among the top reality “Role Models” and featured on the cover of VIBE magazine alongside Kandi Burruss, Evelyn Lozada and Crissy Lampkin (click HERE if you missed that) and Toni has said that she’s not returning to their family values reality show.
