Monica filmed the finale of her upcoming reality show “Still Standing” last weekend. I’m so excited for her! She’s worked hard on this upcoming cd and from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be hawt! Mo is on artist that I personally STAN for, for no other reason than her authenticity. She is the real deal and her fans know it. In discussing her new album, Mo states:
“I just wanted to thank everyone for all the love everyone gives me, a lot of celebrities get it twisted and forget it’s the fans who make them…”
Monica held an up close & personal private concert for the final filming. Bryan-Michael Cox, Mia X, Yung Joc and more all showed support for our hometown diva. Check out a few flix below:
The first single from Mo’s highly anticipated album should be hitting radio airwaves today. I’d been holding on to it in anticipation of these photos but you can finally take a listen to “Let Me Know” featuring Missy Elliott below: Continue Reading…
I know I’m late but I spotted this last night while I was watching “The Soup.” I’d heard that Mary J. Blige had another commercial but had no idea that it was so fly! I’m lovin Mary’s new song “The One” and she rocks the runway and almost makes me wanna buy a new phone for each one of my outfits! Absolutely LOVE IT!
If you haven’t already heard it….the full version of Mary J. Blige’s ‘The One” (Prod. by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins) featuring Drake is below:
BlackOwned C-Bone aka Corey Andrews was first introduced to the mainstream rap game through his appearance on the Dungeon Family “Even in Darkness” album on the curtains closing track, “DF 2nd Generation” alongside Killer Mike, Slimm Calhoun and many more. C-Bone continued to gain exposure through his numerous platinum selling guest appearances such as Purple Ribbon’s “Kriptonite”, OutKast’s “Gangsta Shit”, Big Boi’s “Tomb of the Boom” Yung Joc’s “Dope Boy Magic” and many more.
In addition to his solo status, C-Bone is also a member of the rap group KonKrete alongside Lil Brotha (Big Boi’s younger brother) and Supa Nate. He also serves as Big Boi’s hype man (Click Here to see he & Big Boi in action LIVE) and is a member of Twan’s Purple Ribbon imprint.
Blackowned C-Bone is currently working on his upcoming mixtape titled “The Strong Pack” and two singles from the project: “Star Wars” and “When the Beat Drop” have been circulating the net. You know it’s a hot record, because Big Boi himself picked it out to be the next single!
Check out this new previously unreleased song from Keri Hilson produced by super producer Timbaland called “The Ring”. I’m still trying to figure out if I like it or not. The beat is OK…but I was expected so much more on the vocals. I dunno. I love Ms. KeriBaby but this song’s got me feeling some kinda way right now…
“This song, is an apology to anyone from age 8 to 80, that’s affiliated with or in any gang, To every parent (mother or father) that has lost a child to gang violence, every sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, partner or whomever that has lost a loved one or a friend to gang violence either by death or prison. Even if I never met you or have known you personally, I want to apologize for being the root of the evil that is plaguing the youth of today, & I beg you for forgiveness the same way i would beg GOD to forgive me for every sin that i have committed, because i am 37 years old now, & i have finally become to realize by watching my own children that i wasn’t teaching something positive i was only teaching negatively”.
I would like to end by saying, “Violence Only Begots Violence”,” Lets move to a more positive direction & I sincerly, hope that people understand me & what I am trying to say in this song. GOD BLESS US ALL”.
I had the opportunity to attend Verse Simmonds’ listening session a few nights ago and I must say this dude has got skillz! We also bumped into each other later that night at LIFE on Cheshire Bridge where DJ Trauma bumped his track, “Buy You A Round”…. my twitters told the story:
