Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick’s money is in the news yet again this week. The judge in Mike’s bankruptcy case has determined that Vick’s finances are so screwed up that he needs a trustee to oversee his dwindling fortune:
“It has become clear since the filing of this case that Mr. Vick has very limited knowledge of the state of his finances. … It appears that Mr. Vick has routinely relied upon others to make financial decisions for him, giving them discretionary control over large sums of money,”
In a nutshell…that means that Mike trusted the wrong folks with his cash! The two people that he hired to manage his finances - Mary Wong and David Talbot - are both under scrutiny for mismanaging his assets: (more…)
Evander Holyfield just barely avoided going to jail today for being late on his child support. The former heavyweight champion, who has faced financial hardships recently, paid over $9,000 in back child support and signed an agreement to meet his other obligations (i.e. private school tuition, health insurance and paying for a college fund) within the month.
The agreement gets Holyfield out of legal hot water.
In the past month, Holyfield has faced a foreclosure on his 54,000 square-foot palace in Fayette County. He has also been sued for an alleged $500,000 loan that he is accused of not re-paying.
Sadder still, the 45-year-old vows he will continue boxing and become undisputed champion once again, despite the fact he hasn’t beaten a major fighter since John Ruiz in 2000. (Source)
Message to Evander…. no more boxing. Try selling real estate or sumthing. You may want to start with the mansion. Just a thought.

Former Falcon Michael Vick filed for bankruptcy protection yesterday in Virginia and claims between $10 to $50 million in debt. (Peep the full document (.pdf) and calculate it for yourself!) One of his creditors is his former employer, the Atlanta Falcons, who he owes $3.75 million as a pro-rated signing bonus.
Of the six other creditors listed in the court documents three are banks, including two that recently won judgments against Vick. The largest creditor is Joel Enterprises, Inc. with a claim of $4.5 million. (Source)
Why did I think that he’d already filed bankruptcy? Anyway…I feel like all of you some-timey Falcon’s fans need to chip in and send Mike a few bills. After all…his birthday was just last week! Holla at your boi.

Yet another one for the mugshot gallery. This time it’s Atlanta Falcons reserve safety Daren Stone, who was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with DUI. Stone was spotted weaving through traffic around 3am Sunday and Atlanta Police stopped him and charged him with DUI and failure to maintain his lane. The incident occurred at the intersection of Andrew Young and Courtland Streets.
Stone was released from the Atlanta City Jail late Sunday afternoon after posting bonds totaling almost $1,600. (Source)

Marcus Deon Vick has been arrested…again!
Michael Vick’s little brother was arrested early this morning in Norfolk, Virginia after an officer spotted him fighting some chick in a car. After being approached by the officer, dumbass took off and fled the scene! After being caught a few moments later by other officers, he failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI, eluding police, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. His partner in crime and the woman he was beating in the car, Delicia Lenora Cordon (her mugshot), was also arrested for public intoxication. (Source)
