I am soooo getting used to Kanye being a real singer right now! Use of the vocoder thingy is almost transparent in this new song and it’s the best one yet..IMO. Can’t wait for the album!! In other songs I’ve been listening to this week, Slim pairs up with Big Boi, Jay-Z reflects on Obama’s historic victory, Justin Timberlake joins the legions of vocoder users and Rick Ross drops a verse on on T.I.’s “Live Your Life.”

OK…OK…I know you’re tired of all the Rick Ross jokes, but this post is serious. In my quest for mug shots today, I found Rick Ross’ shot from January 2008. We all know he lied about being a corrections officer, but doesn’t this ALMOST give him his street cred back. I mean…he was actually arrested for a FELONY for carrying a concealed gun and was also charged with a misdemeanor for pot possession. Funny thing is…all of this occured in Miami, and he was probably locked up in the same jail he used to patrol in his tight polyester pants!

I hope y’all didn’t really believe his Scarface dreams of being a drug kingpin. What’s worse? Him keeping murderers and drug dealers under control and playing dress up later in life…or actually telling the truth about being a drug kingpin. Think on it.
The video however, is standard fare. Half naked light skinned women, liquor, cars. Stuff you urban people think is extravagant. Shouts to Trey Songz though. VA. Two up two down. Not a bad song.
