Barack Obama inspired fashion hit Paris runways during the Spring 2009 shows at Paris Fashion Week. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Sonia Rykiel, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte and Stella McCartney were among several designers promoting the Democratic nominee on the runways of their shows. BTW…there were no signs of McCain wear. Go figure…
This video is hilarious! Leave it to The Simpsons to foresee the problems of the future. In this unreleased episode, Homer Simpson attempts to vote for Barack Obama but the machine wouldn’t let him. I wonder how many of us will experience this same scenario come November. All I know is…you better go tell the first time! 😆
In case you missed it, below is the video of Saturday Night Live’s spoof of the Vice Presidential Debate. Queen Latifah sat in as Gwen Ifill and of course Tina Fey was back as Governor Sarah Palin. SNL is fast becoming THE PLACE to be on Saturday night. Their political parodies are hilarious and can’t be beat!
“We would like to remind our audience that due to the historically low expectations for Governor Palin, were she simply to do an adequate job tonight, and at no point cry, faint, run out of the building or vomit, you should consider the debate a tie,” Queen Latifah’s moderator said in her introduction.
The funniest part of this week’s skit? When Tina Fey (as Sarah Palin) brough out the flute and asked about the talent competition! 😆
Are you registered to vote? Bow Wow is and he wants to make sure all of his young fans are too. Bow-weezy appeared on CNN recently discussing this years presidential election. As a first time voter, Bow feels that it’s important for him to get out on the trail to encourage you youngsters to vote. He will be hitting up several cities to assist in voter’s registration campaign and is excited about the upcoming election. I was a bit disappointed that he didn’t endorse either candididate but I commend him in his efforts! Love to see positivity in this game…
The “A”‘s own Killer Mike joined Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Q-Tip and Michaela Angela Davis joined All Hip Hop’s social discussion panel on Hip Hop and Politics. Killer Mike lit up the discussion with strong advice to young Black men to vote. His tip? Shut up, listen to your elders and stop listening to dumb rappers! He also advised politicians that they should use the resources that the dumb rappers use to reach the dumb people that listen to them…LMAO. Tell em Mike!
BTW…NecoleBitchie will be participating in the next AHH panel on Hip Hop & Politics tomorrow afternoon at CAU. Can’t wait to see NB show out!
