The legendary rapper has gone from music to movies to fashion and back again. Now, after starring in the Jimi Hendrix biopic and celebrating Outkast’s 20th anniversary by touring with Big Boi, 3000 has even more tricks under his sleeves.

Word on the curb is that a particular Outkast
/Dungeon Family camp member has been accused of stealing money in a ticket scam that ran for several of the group’s festival tour dates.
Y’all know how I love me some Outkast & Dungeon Family, so I ain’t saying names, but wrong is wrong and scamming fans of the legendary supergroup is even more of a crime when done by someone so close to the crew.

A few days ago I revealed that Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000) would be launching an exhibit of the custom jumpsuits he wore during Outkast’s historic 20th reunion festival tour.

The unique exhibit, titled ‘i feel ya: SCAD + André 3000 Benjamin,’ launched last night with a VIP reception for Art Basil Miami Beach held at The Savannah College of Art and Design Museum’s pop-up at Mana Miami.

Outkast’s 20th anniversary tour sparked a bit of creative vision in Dre’ that led him to rock several custom jumpsuits, which displayed thought-provoking messages on his chest.

Now that the tour is over, Andre is taking his iconic jumpsuits to Miami, where he will collaborate with filmmaker Greg Brunkalla and painter Jimmy O’Neal for an exhibit presented by SCAD and the SCAD Museum of Art.
As a versatile artist in music, performance, fashion design, and film, André 3000 Benjamin has his finger on the pulse of contemporary culture. Benjamin’s identity as an artist took flight in the pages of a sketchbook he kept as a teenager, and he later rose to international fame as a member of the six-time Grammy-Award-winning musical group Outkast—the first hip-hop act to earn the coveted Album of the Year Grammy for 2004’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which sold more than 11 million copies. Benjamin has been a longtime supporter of SCAD, particularly through the university’s Collaborative Learning Center, an interdisciplinary learning community that facilitates sponsored projects between SCAD students and external partners.

Halloween 2014 marked the end of Outkast‘s historic reunion tour.
The legendary duo, which consists of Antwan ‘Big Boi’ Patton and Andre ‘3000’ Benjamin hit the stage Friday night (October 31, 2014) for the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans and performed to a packed audience filled with zombies, witches, goons & goblins.
Dré sported his signature white wig and sunglasses, with a final message on his black jumpsuit: “I don’t know what else to say.”

Big Boi sported a Stankonia 2-piece in honor of it also being the 14th anniversary of the classic Stankonia album.
Organized Noize’s Sleepy Brown joined them on stage as a special guest for a handful of songs as friends, family and lifelong supporters of the group watched them wrap the month’s long tour with a bang!

The legendary group known as Outkast hit up Las Vegas for the 3-day ‘Life is Beautiful Festival’ this past weekend and they did not disappoint!

The ATLien’s landed in Vegas and I, along with several of Big Boi & Dre’s family, friends & supporters, attended this weekend’s performance. Antwan ‘Big Boi’ Patton and Andre ‘3-Stacks’ Benjamin took the Vegas stage and totally took over!
While I have to say nothing tops their Atlanta concerts, it’s clear THE WHOLE WORLD loves ‘Kast and the diverse crowd in Vegas couldn’t get enough of the hip-hop powerhouses.
