A few unlit Molotov cocktails were found in Northeast Atlanta yesterday near T.I.’s Grand Hustle studios. According to news reports, two bottles filled with an unknown liquid suspected of being Molotov cocktails was tossed at the office windows of the studio early Thursday morning.

The Atlanta police SWAT team was sent to the address after an Atlanta Police officer was flagged down by a resident and advised the officer that he observed two bottles of what appeared to be molotov cocktails full of an unknown liquid near the front porch, said Eric Schwartz, Atlanta police spokesman.

Jason Geter, CEO of Grand Hustle, explained that an alarm went off between 2:30 and 3 a.m. Thursday (November 19) at the office and Grand Hustle staff discovered that one of the office windows had been cracked after someone had tossed a “40-ounce bottle” at it.

Police have not named any suspects, but Geter and company have their own ideas of who the culprit could be. Check out the audio of Jason’s details of the event below: (more…)

This social networking this is way outta control. First a MARTA bus driver gets suspended after a passenger twitpics him using his cell and now a teacher has been forced to resign over Facebook photos! Ashley Payne, a former Georgia high school teacher is smack dab in the middle of the most recent social networking controversy. Payne was forced to resign, after school administrators questioned the material posted on her Facebook page. Payne says she had pictures of her trip to Europe on the site and wrote about a game she plays with friends. She says none of the material was inappropriate, but a parent complained about a picture of her holding a drink in her hand.

I had no idea how a parent could have seen something like that on my page cause I had everything set to private. I wasn’t friends with any students. I didn’t give any access to students or parents.

Check out three photos of former Chicago baseball player Sammy Sosa throughout the years. The first photo is Sammy as a rookie and the one on the far right is Sammy now. Do you notice a difference?  Well apparently in the aftermath of all that steroids controversy, Sammy’s not quite comfortable in his own skin. According to a close friend of Sosa’s this is just a freak reaction to a process we women go through all the time…

He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin,” [Rebecca] Polihronis said. “Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting.

“He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin. The picture is deceiving. He said, ‘If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.’”

Sosa has also added his own explanation as to why his skin appears so much lighter in the recent photograph.  In an interview with Spanish speaking Univision reporter Tony Dandrades Tuesday on the program “Primer Impacto,” Sosa answered questions about how and why he desired to change his appearance. While some are still debating Morehouse College’s New Dress Code Policy as being an act of discrimination, there are also Washington University students who have experienced being unfairly targeted because of their dress and even barred from a Chicago nightspot under the guise of a “baggy jeans” policy. In case you are naive enough to think that having a Black president means that racism has been eradicated, check out this email I received yesterday about an experiment done by a group of Black WU students that proved a venue they were visiting in Chicago was discriminating against Black students while White students who dressed in similar attire were allowed entry:

Frederick Richardson, the man accused of killing Ashley “A.J. Jewell during a brawl in the parking lot of the Body Tap strip club, has been freed on bond.  Richardson appeared in front of a judge today (Tuesday, Oct. 20), and left the Fulton County Jail after Magistrate Judge Karen Woodson set bond at $10,000. Richardson will not return to court until he’s indicted.

Jewell died at a local hospital on October 5th, just moments after the fight. Richardson was arrested and held without bond in the case a day later. Specifics of Richardson’s are not being revealed, however one can only assume that the Fulton County coroner’s report which stated that Sickle Cell disease may have caused AJ’s death, was a contributing factor in the judges decision.

Jermaine Jackson, 52, has been hit with a lawsuit, alleging he has failed to pay more than $35,000 in child support payments. Jackson’s ex, Alejandra Jackson filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming Jermaine owes nearly $35,550 for the upkeep for their two children, Jermajesty and Jaffar.  Alejandra states her ex-husband’s mother Katherine has had to help her out financially and has even given her “gift cards ranging between $300 and $400 to purchase groceries for thier children.  Alejandra also accuses Jermaine of lying to the court when he claimed he only made $35,000 in 2008.

What’s crazy about this entire scenario is that Jermaine’s ex-wife was also once involved with his little brother Randy and in addition to Jermaine’s two sons, Alejandra has two teenage children from her previous relationship with Randy — Genevieve, 17, and Randy Jr., 14 and Jermaine has six other children from previous relationships.

Morehouse college has revealed a new policy on campus which they say is designed to uphold “the image of a strong black man.”  The new policy is creating a bit of backlash because people are saying that it is alienating gay students at the all-male historically Black college. The new policy details 11 expectations of students, including:

* no caps, do-rags and/or hoods in classrooms, the cafeteria, or other indoor venues

* no sun glasses worn in class or at formal programs

* no jeans at major programs, as well as no sagging pants on campus

* no clothing with derogatory or lewd messages either in words or pictures

* no wearing of clothing usually worn by women (dresses, tops, tunics, purses, pumps, etc.) on the Morehouse campus or at college-sponsored events.

It’s the restriction on women’s clothing that causing an uproar at the school. In a city where men in pumps carrying purses is somewhat commonplace and revered on “reality” television, Morehouse is taking a stand and seems to be attempting to give our historic city some dignity. Remember that episode of Entourage where Turtle had to don a pink furry bunny suit to bag a hot chick? Well I’m sure you know that there are actually people out there who get off on that type of thing. These people have what’s called “Furry Fetishes” where they have an attraction to animals with human like features or tendencies such as mascots, while others with the fetish prefer inanimate furry objects like teddy bears, dolls and/or manequins. Although I feel like I’ve seen it all online and off, few things still shock me but this was one of em. I saw a pic of a Teddy Bear sex toy that had me literally saying “WHAT THA…?”
