I just read an update regarding the two Rex Middle school teachers who were jailed in Clayton county after fighting over a love triangle involving facebook. In case you missed it, Chaka Cobb and Ebony Smith were arrested for arguing and fighting in front of students after discovering they each were involved with the same man, who is also a teacher at the school.

Each were charged with misdemeanors in the case and faced termination from their employer, however employment records obtained by the AJC on Wednesday show Smith resigned in lieu of termination while Cobb is currently serving a 19.5-day suspension without pay. According to the records, she is scheduled to return to her position Dec. 4th.

Cobb was only charged with disorderly conduct, while Smith was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct. I can only assume that is why she faced termination while Cobb remains employed. It’s also being reported that the man they were fighting over, Rex Mill physical education teacher Derek Green, was also suspended for 10 days without pay, although he was not directly involved in the incident and was not charged with a crime.

An internal investigation by school officials found all three teachers violated the “professional conduct” section of the Georgia Code of Ethics for Educators, along with the school board’s ethics policy. Administrators also filed a complaint against the two female teachers with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, which licenses all teachers in Georgia.

“There was swinging and hitting and profanity between the two,” the complaint reads. Green was not referred because his actions did not occur at school, district spokesman Charles White said.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was arrested earlier today at LAX airport after a scuffle with the paparazzi. According to TMZ, Tyson was arrested at LAX and charged with misdemeanor battery after a bloody confrontation with a photographer outside the United terminal. Reports were that the former heavyweight boxer punched the pap in the face and knocked him out cold and there was blood everywhere.

Comedian Katt Williams, who was recently arrested and charged with burglarizing a home in Newnan, has been released on $41,000 bond. The 34-year-old was arrested in suburban Atlanta, Georgia Sunday, November 8th after allegedly breaking into a house located in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta and stealing $3,555 worth of jewelry and collectible coins. He was said to be holding a crowbar when he entered the building.

Katt is NOT holding his tongue about the incident as he tells television news reporters recently that the charges are absolutely absurd, adding that he never resulted to stealing when he was homeless and he certainly wouldn’t do it now that he’s a multi-millionaire! Katt, who’s staying at the home while filming “The Obama Effect” in Newnan, has also been accused of holding a 17 year old boy hostage just days prior to the burglary arrest. Meet Cara Williams. Ms. Williams has been jailed in Clayton County for allegedly falsifying a police report. Williams  called officials Wednesday morning at around 7:45 a.m. and reported that her ex-boyfriend, Sentwali Corry, came to her house on Pointe South Parkway and left with their 1-year-old daughter without permission. She also claimed her ex of slapped her and called her names before he stole her van and took the child.

Meet Ms. Mary Strey, 49, of Granton, Wisconsin. Mary had a few drinks on Oct. 24th and got so lit that she couldn’t drive herself home. Crazy thing is, she tried but then decided to snitch on herself by calling 911 as she was driving.  :-/

During the call from Mary’s cell phone, she states “Somebody’s really drunk driving down Granton Road.” The emergency dispatcher tries to determine the driver’s location and asks Mary if she is driving behind them to which she replies, “No… I am them.”

Mary then tells the dispatcher that she was calling because, “I don’t want to hurt anybody. I’m drunk.” The dispatcher advises her to pull over and put on her flashers and sends an officer to her location. The responding officer reported that Strey had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.

She told officers she’d had seven or eight brandy and Cokes after a night of barhopping. Her blood alcohol level was double the legal limit, the Associated Press reported.
