The trailer had been released for the upcoming sequel to Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married” entitled “Why Did I Get Married Too”. Janet Jackson will reprise her role as Patricia Agnew along with other castmates from the original, including Lahmann Rucker, Tasha Smith, Malik Yoba, Jill Scott and Cicely Tyson. Also, according to the movie’s Wikipedia page, the new movie will also feature singer Keyshia Cole in her acting debut.
Check out the official movie poster from Tyler Perry’s latest flick “I Can Do Bad All By Myself.” The movie stars Oscar nominated Taraji P. Henson, Brian J. White, Gladys Knight, Mary J. Blige and more. The film is signature TP with a twist, as Perry resurrects his pistol-packing Madea character for yet another family feature. Synopsis of the film:
When Madea catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April. A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino, a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into April’s basement room. Making amends for his own troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Raymond and the new possibilities of family, faith…and even true love.

Check out a few of Madea’s mugshots from over the years. It appears she’s been in the crime database for quite some time now. Tyler Perry is a plum FOOL!

Notorious is in theatres TOMORROW…January 16th and the producers are asking you guys to support the film. I saw it myself Monday night and I can personally vouch that this film is definitely worth paying for. <—and I am NOT being paid to say this ish either!
OH…and as an added incentive, if you purchase 4 or more tickets in advance you’ll receive an “official” NOTORIOUS t-shirt and iPhone skin (**While Supplies Last) Go to www.fandango.com/notorious now to purchase your advance tickets. And would one of you please send me the iPhone skin…OK?
I know some of y’all complain about Tyler Perry’s movies…but I, for one am a diehard fan. I still have all my bootleg copies of his old plays that I bought at the beauty shop (wassup Shonda). Sorry Tyler! As Oprah says…”when you know better you do better” I’ll make sure to buy this one when it comes out… Anywhoo, his next feature film “Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail” looks like it will be a good one to see. Here’s the summary I received yesterday:
After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea (Tyler Perry) in front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe (Tyler Perry) couldn’t be happier at Madea’s misfortune. But Madea’s eccentric family members the Browns (David and Tamala Mann) rally behind her, lending their special “country” brand of support. Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway (Derek Luke) is on the fast track to career success. But Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle – defending young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington (Keisha Knight Pulliam)—and asks his fiancé and fellow ADA Linda Holmes (Ion Overman) to fill in on his behalf. When Candace ends up in jail,Madea befriends the young woman, protecting her in a “motherly” way as only Madea can.
Tyler Perry hit up Good Morning America and discussed his anticipated film, “The Family That Preys.” He also talks about his 39th birthday that’s coming up next week. Well….in case I forget ‘Happy Birthday Tyler!!!” The film features Alfie Woodard, Sanaa Lathan, Kathy Bates and more. I plan to see Friday at lunchtime in case anyone wants to join me… Check out the trailer under the cut: (more…)
Check out Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of Vogue’s June issue. Everyone who knows me knows that I’m a Sex in the City fanatic….but I vote “NO” for this fugary!
