The Mean Girls of Morehouse article is creating quite a buzz online and off. Morehouse alumni are all up in arms and most feel that the article puts an unfair spotlight on the historically black college.

In a letter written to college alumni, Morehouse president Professor Robert Franklin, addressed the article prior to it’s distribution…. and he wasn’t happy. After all, the article focused unfairly on a very small part of the traditionally all male college AND referenced them as “Girls”!
The piece has sparked a ton of controversy. Franklin says that he strongly disagrees with the article and although he would not interfere with freedom of the press, he wants the community to know that the article is not a full representation of the college.

When Morehouse College redefined their dress code, it was obvious to most that there was something going on over there. Not to say that it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but the dress code did nothing to redefine the image of what a “Morehouse Man” is these days.
