Jermaine Dupri held a launch party for his new watch line last night at Wish Boutique in Lil 5 Points. Spotted in the crowed were Monica, Lance and his boo Eva Pigford, Diddy’s Baby Moms Sara Chapman, Tayana Taylor, Johntae Austin & my boo Antwan “Big Boi’ Patton. Check out a few flix below:
Two of my favorite people were on television the other night and I totally missed them! Monica AND Celebrity Photographer Derek Blanks hit the stage on the Mo”Nique show earlier this week and it was like a family affair. Mo Nique invited Monica’s mom onstage for a mini interview and Monica’s boo Rocko even came out. During Derek’s interview he seemed a bit uncomfortable. He’s so accustomed to being behind the camera that I’m sure it was a bit unnerving, but Mo quickly helped ease his nerves. That’s why I love them both so much! Support is key!
The show concluded with Monica performing “Still Standing.” It was such a great show! I just wish I had been in the audience that day. And speaking of “Still Standing,” if you missed Episode 2 of Monica’s BET reality show, you can watch it below: (more…)
Monica, along with Rocko and their 2 beautiful sons Lil Rocko and Romelo celebrated with an afternoon of bowling and fun at Red Carpet Lanes Sunday evening. The event was filmed live for Monica’s new BET Reality Show “Still Standing” and the celebration also brought out quite a few celebs with their kiddies! Jermaine Dupri, Celebrity Photographer Derick Blanks, Rock City, and many more of Atlanta’s music community that has been down with Monica since day one, all came through to celebrate family and share in Monica’s success.
Romelo blows out his candles! He’s such a cutie!!
Lil Rock is 4? Where’d all that time go? Adorable!!
The party was billed as a birthday celebration for both Lil Rocko and Romelo but Monica let me in on a lil secret. It wasn’t actually either of the boy’s birthdays but Lil Rock wanted a day they both could share, so being the great Mom that she is…Mo gave her babies what they wanted. She explains it in the video below and also addresses why she chooses to keep her show “drama free”: (more…)
Monica (above with her boo Rocko) celebrated her 29th birthday last weekend with a series of events. She started off with a big bash at Luckie Food Lounge and rounded it off with a Red Carpet Preview of her new BET reality series and celebration of her Uptown Magazine Cover. Mo was surrounded by friends, family and fans all weekend long before departing to New York to hit up the Thurgood Marshall Anniversary Dinner and 106 & Park:
The premiere episode of Monica’s BET reality show, “Still Standing” broke records during it’s airing Tuesday night. The show is said to have brought in 3.2 million viewers and is BET’s #2 debut of all time, behind “The Tiny & Toya Show.” I’m so proud of Monica for bringing some positivity to the network!

Several stars lit up the Thurgood Marshall College Fund 22nd Annual Anniversary Dinner in New York last night which celebrating 22 years of igniting the dreams of minority students attending 47 member public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and 6 historically black law schools. The sold out event, hosted by Danny Glover, drew such A-Listers as Mary J. Blige, Monica, Fantasia and more. There were also a few faces we haven’t seen in a while.
