Shanell aka SNL’s celebrated her birthday with a party at Club Primal in Atlanta, Georgia. She was joined by her sis D. Woods (formerly of Danity Kane) and fellow “Girls Club” member Mika Means. Of course a party wouldn’t be a party without her Young Money label mates Lil Wayne and Drizzy Drake adding to the crew.

You may recall the post I did about being inducted into the The Girl’s Club last year, well I finally attended my first social last night, hosted by two of the founding members, D. Woods and Mika Means. The 3rd founder, Shanell, was out of town and unable to attend last night. Carlysia Levert (singer/songwriter/Gerald Levert’s daughter), NecoleBitchie (NecoleBitchie.com), Princess (Crime Mob), Brian (Concrete Loop), Bola (Grand Hustle), Ebony Love (singer/songwriter) and more all came through to show love to the MOVEMENT at 404 Lounge last night. The only requirement was that NO HATERS were allowed…

D. Woods and Mika Means were spotted partying it up at Luckie Food Lounge Wednesday night. Mika, who you may recognize as part of The Girls Club, will be performing live at Onyx Friday evening and her highly anticipated album is coming soon. I’m not quite sure what D.’s doing right now though. She’s being a bit tight lipped about her activities but word is she’s working on a series of mix-tapes dubbed “Independence Day.” The first one is due out next month, and others will follow throughout 2009. Most of us believe that she’ll be returning to Danity Kane during Making the Band 4, Season 3 but she told me that’s not the case and that she is working as a talent agent of sorts by assisting up and coming artists.  I’ll just have to take her word for it for now.

I think I’m feeling some kinda way about Mika calling me “Kimberly”…but at least she got the site name right! Two of my favorite people, D. Woods (formerly of Danity Kane) and Mika Means were spotted in Miami performing at Club Sobe last weekend.  The two performed a few Danity Kane selections and seemed to have had much fun performing together.  Are we being primed for a twosome girl group?  Hmmmmm….??

The Girls Club ~ Mika Means, D. Woods and Shanell (aka SNL) ~ have put a female spin on T.I.’s “Swagger Like Us“.   I caught up with these three at Ludacris’ New Era Celebration and we crossed paths several times last weekend as we all were hitting up parties throughout the “A” (yes that’s me throwin it up in the pic above). I think the song is hott and the verses are on fire…but don’t look for an album from this girl group any time soon.  Mika Means is a force in her own right and has been on the music scene in Atlanta for a minute and Shanell (D. Woods sister) is a talented songwriter and coreographer.  D. Woods also states that after her departure from Danity Kane, she is not looking to join another girl group and is currently planning her solo career.  So, there you have it.  Three talented solo artists with a ton of swagger who simply collaberated on a remix.
