The official video for Latoya Luckett’s hot song, “Regret” featuring Ludacris, has finally been released. The video follows LeToya as she ends her romance with her boyfriend played by Sean Newman and doesn’t let herself embraced with sadness following the break-up. “It’s about anybody that’s been in a relationship and moved on and the person who mistreated her and broke her heart now all of the sudden realize ‘you’re the best thing that’s ever happened’ and he wanna back.” explains Latoya.
“Regret” appears in LeToya’s studio album “Lady Love” which hit the market in August. According to AceShowbiz, there were rumors that Capitol Records had refused to run any further promotional effort for the album which peaked at No. 12 on Billboard Hot 200. This issue reportedly prevented “Regret” and its official remix, which adds new beats and lyrics, from being released. It was also rumored that this newly-debuted video was made only because fans sent an online petition to the company. No comment from LeToya and/or Capitol Records regarding the allegations.
Check out Shawty Lo’s “Atlanta, GA” featuring The Dream, Ludacris & Gucci Mane. I heard this song a while ago minus The Dream and although Luda was on it I was still like…ummm ok, it’s aiight. But it’s since been remixed with a different beat and The Dream jumped on the hook to make it complete (y’all know a Mr. Nash hook can make ANYTHING addictive)….instant classic!
Atlanta, GA ~ Shawty Lo ft. The Dream, Ludacris & Gucci Mane
Ludacris was spotted on the upper level of Luckie Food Lounge Wednesday night scuffling with some unsuspecting fan. Strange thing is…his big “A”zz bodyguards stood and watched as Luda body slammed the seemingly innocent man.
Blam! Straight on his dayum back…
…and he had no idea it was coming!
Don’t be alarmed. It was only a video shoot for DTP’s front man Ludacris and rapper Shawnna for the first single from their upcoming album “Battle of the Sexes” and the “innocent fan” was non other than funnyman Lil Duval! Duval joined in on the fun sporting Ciara’s wig and it was fun times for all. The party continued downstairs as Yung Joc celebrated the release of his free cd “Grind Flu” (Click Here for free download), as all of Atlanta came out for support. Spotted in the crowd were Lil Scrappy, Shawtly Lo, D. Woods and more.
“If it were not for Michael Jackson I would not be where or who I am today. His music and legacy will live on forever. Prayers to the family.” ~ Ludacris via Twitter
There was a whole lot going on at Luckie Food Lounge last night. Not only was it DJ Trauma’s birthday celebration, but apparently Jeremih (Birthday Sex) was holding an industry meet & greet on the same night. It was definitely an overbooked location and I’m sure you’ve already read or heard about the violence that turned a positive evening into a news event. Prior to all the drama outside and besides the fact that Luckie’s a/c was on ‘HELL’ it was fun fun fun for all! Ludacris, Super-producers Jermaine Dupri and Jazze Phae and Drumma Boy from BET’s Dreamland, Ludacris, Chaka (President of DTP), Estelle, Jeremih, Young Jeezy, DJ Drama, DJ Toomp, Kandi Burress (Housewives of Atlanta) all flowed through in support of your boy Trauma….or was it for Jeremih.
Vibe Magazine’s VSessions LIVE! hit Atlanta last night. The event, hosted by Kenny Burns featured DJ Don Cannon on the 1’s and 2’s and brought several celebrity supporters out to The Loft to showcase up and coming artists.
“The whole VSessions was created to pass the torch in a way to other artists,” says Burns. “You have Disturbing the Peace, Asylum and Warner Brothers artists — it’s about showcasing the talent that’s emerging on the scene today. This [is] where the music is really happening,” he says. “All of the music is coming out of Atlanta, all of the singers, producers and songwriters. Athletes are moving here during the off-season and making their permanent home, so the shoe fits.”
Disturbing Tha Peace’s Rudy Currence, singer/songwriter Julie Dexter, Warner Records’ Teairra Mari and Grand Hustle’s Yung LA were the featured performers but Ludacris, Slim (of 112), Yung Joc, American Yard and more were spotted at the event. Check out a few photos below:
So THIS is the outfit everyone’s clowning tonight? Looks like a yeast infection waiting to happen *sigh* ~ ATLien
I’ve actually always liked Teairra Mari and I heard she put it down last night! I’m so upset that I couldn’t make it out but Twitter came to my rescue with a few entertaining play by plays:
