Jennifer Hudson was a vision in red as she accepted her 2011 “Women Doing Good” award from Self Magazine in New York City, September 13, 2011.
Self Magazine’s Women Doing Good Awards acknowledges women who “saw a need, hatched a plan, then changed the world for the better” and I’m assuming Jennifer’s 88lb weight loss fit the bill.

Jennifer also brought her adorable son David Otunga, Jr. with her to the festivities and he’s looking more and more like his daddy everyday!
In case you were wondering when and/or IF Jennifer Hudson and her baby daddy will ever tie the knot, I have the answer + more photos below: Continue Reading…
Ciara was spotted chilling at the 2011 U.S. Open in NYC yesterday (September 8, 2011).
Its often been said that single women who desire to get hitched should ditch their single friends and hang out with more married women. [Sidebar: I think even recall Tyrese giving LaLa that bit of advice on her show.]
Well… Ciara seems to have taken heed to that old wive’s tale as she was spotted taking in a game with two friends who have each jumped the broom.
Ciara was spotted out and about with Lala Vasquez (who married Carmelo Anthony last Summer) and Kim Kardashian, who recently shed her jump off status by tying the knot in a lavish ceremony a few weeks ago.

It’s been a Summer full of weddings, Ciara even donned her blue bridesmaid gear and shimmied down the aisle for Monica & Shannon Brown’s 2nd wedding.
Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Wait! Come to think of it, CiCi’s just about the only one left who hasn’t snagged her a meal ticket…. not that she needs one. Or does she?
I’m sure LaLa and Kim K have been giving their lil sis tons of advice, and since married people often ditch their single friends, I have to admire them for keeping ‘Single CiCi’ in the circle.
If married, once you jumped the broom did you start hanging out with married friends more than single friends?
Single ladies, do you ever feel like your married friends kicked you to the curb once they got hitched?

You married your best friend, your confidant, your “soul mate for life”…. but you ain’t gettin’ any.
Things used to be great when you two got together but then life took over. Work, bills, maybe even a few kids. It all takes a toll on a relationship, but did life take a toll on your sex life with your spouse or significant other?
Well, one woman held on for over 20 years without getting any from her husband and when she decided enough was enough, she sued him… and WON!

[Editor's Note: After the positive response former NFL baller Bob Whitfield received on his 7 Reasons Why Women Cheat, I've decided to give him the SFTA platform yet again. This time Bob takes aim at Cupid and the fairy tale feelings of LOVE vs. LIKE. Again, I have to state I have absolutely NOTHING to do with this commentary, and while he has me feelin 'some kinda way' right now, these are clearly all BOB'S views and opinions and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of me... LOVE is… ‘a non-muthaf*ckin factor boo’ in your relationship! (I can hear the boo’s raining in now!)
For couples, love is like the flour mixed with the grease that makes the gravy.
LOVE has a magical all-purpose element to make a relationship recipe that is much more robust, exciting, romantic, etc and so on…. but who just wants gravy, or the special love sauce?
Relationships, for LOVE’s sake, lead to Marriage. Which is simply a social economic relationship between two people that provides tax and legal advantages for their union. [In layman's speak: you get a tax write off and someone that can't be forced to snitch on you in court]
I’m not against marriage, relationships or being in LOVE for that matter. Continue Reading…
A Michigan woman says she was “shocked, humiliated and embarrassed” by a Facebook romance gone awry and is seeking damages from her former online love.
Cheryl Gray, a 50-year-old unemployed paralegal says Wylie Iwan, a 35-year-old Applebee’s employee, led her on.
Gray claims she spent hundreds of dollars on gifts and a trip to visit Iwan, but was humiliated when he posted vulgar comments on her Facebook wall and was “devastated” and angry when a week before her planned trip, Iwan said he’d met someone else at a bar and no longer wanted to continue their “relationship”.
Now, “I feel foolish,” Gray said. “I’m not so much mad or angry. I feel foolish. I am disillusioned.”
Gray has decided to take her hurt feelings to court, filing a lawsuit seeking to recover $8,386.88 from her former online flame. Continue Reading…
[Note from ATLien: I was planning to do a post on this the other day and mentioned it to my friend Bob Whitfield, who decided to share his two cents. For the record, I have absolutely NOTHING to do with this commentary. These are all BOB'S views and opinions and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of me... ATLien!]
Seven reasons why your woman would cheat on you….
#7. “Soft as Twinkie Filling”
You have the ferociousness of a tabby cat and she wants a mean old lion. A man needs to understand how to dominate a submissive women.
She will seek out restraint from another man just to compensate for the lack of manhood around her. Somebody has to pee standing up….
#6 ” Eww Nasty”
She has a sexual appetite that one man is unable to fulfill or sustain. Different from “#7″ this is pure sex and for a man that feels that he has all that his women needs will be for a rude and crude awakening, when you come home and she is having a leather clad gang bang in the middle of the den.
#5. “The Terry McMillan” Continue Reading…
