Lil Kim made her annual trip down south last weekend to participate in Atlanta’s Black Gay Pride Weekend, which coincidentally coincides every year with Labor Day & Luda Day festivites. The rapper did double duty, performing LIVE at both The Georgia Freight Depot (Lesbian Club), as well as Traxx (Gay Male Club) on Saturday night. [Sidebar: Wondering wassup with the gender descrimination? Why couldn't the lezzbuns *(c) Alexyss K. Tylor* & the gayboys party in the same building?] Kim was also joined in the celebration by close friends Anessa (of MTV’s Real World) and model Tocarra. Check out a few flix:

Lil Kim teamed up with Cyndi Lauper for a duet of Lauper’s ‘Time After Time” with a sprinkling of Kim’s “Put Your Lighter’s Up”performed in honor of Nelson Mandela during “The Mandela Day Concert – A 46664 Celebration” at Radio City Music Hall. Proceeds from the concert went to support 46664, the humanitarian campaign named after Mandela’s prison ID number.

“Our struggle for freedom and justice was a collaborative effort,” Mandela said in a taped message. “‘Mandela Day’ is no different. It is in your hands to create a better world.”

It was an odd pairing and I, personally, woulda never thought of Kimmie as a singer, but she didn’t do quite as horrible as I would have envisioned. I mean…it’s not something I’d be playing in my headphones but it was definitely entertaining to say the least!

I admit I’ve been slacking…cause I totally missed Scott Storch’s mug! It case you haven’t heard, the Miami based music producer was arrested and charged with grand theft auto after slackin on payments on a 2004 Bentley Continental GT <~~i.e. my dream car. Storch began leasing the vehicle in February 2006, with an expected return date of March 2008, but the leasing company claims that the vehicle was never returned and filed criminal charges after Storch failed to pay up.

At some point in all of this (and way before she hit the screen on Dancing with the Stars), Lil Kim and Storch were kickin it and he either loaned or gave the vehicle to Kimmie. A repo company later recovered the wheels from Kim’s New Jersey home after searching for the vehicle for months.

Scott, who’s out on bond and currently in rehab, is set to appear in Broward County Court on May 29. Lil Kim is expected to appear as a witness in the case. (Source 1 and 2)
