If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times… Killer Mike is next up on the list of civil rights leaders.
He has spoken out on many topics in the past and has been quite active in the presidential campaign of Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders.
While police brutality is being well-documented and viewed worldwide thanks to social media and major news coverage, Killer Mike is once again eloquently speaking out about the situation and in light of the many protests, Mike reminds everyone that the best way to get anyone’s attention is through their pockets.

Clifford ‘T.I.’ Harris
is in for quite an eventful Summer! Not only is he featured in the upcoming Roots remake (click HERE
if you missed that) but he’s also prepping for his latest album and recently released what many feel is Summer ’16’s new anthem with the Dr. Dre-produced single ‘DOPE.’
The track, which borrows heavily from a sample of Aaliyah’s 2001 single “Rock the Boat,” is the latest cut off Tip’s upcoming 10th album ‘Dime Trap’ and he’s also unveiled a cameo-filled video for your viewing pleasure.
The video takes place in Los Angeles in the year 2020, and it was director Jesse Terrero’s vision to recreate the Leviticus scene from Empire.

It’s no secret that Killer Mike
is one of my all-time favorites and now I’m so proud that he’s finally getting a chance to show the world just what is so remarkable about him.
Killer Mike (real name Mike Render) recently appeared on HBO’s ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ where he eloquently defended Beyoncè’s controversial Super Bowl performance.

Many ‘fragile’ right wingers like Fox network and New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani immediately took issue with the pop singer’s powerful declaration of black pride during the performance, which featured dancers in Black Panthers-style outfits.
Mike took the opportunity to explain to all of the ‘fragile’ White minds upset over Beyonce’s performance that it’s not always about them!
“White people, it’s not always about you,” the Run the Jewels MC said, pointing to the track’s early verses about being a proud black woman. “She’s talking to other black people … that conversation wasn’t even for you.”
Mike also emphasized how the history taught is not always accurate, explaning that The Black Panther organization wasn’t just comprised of and concerned with black people. “It was a socialist group for any downtrodden people.”

Atlanta based rapper/civic leader Killer Mike
jump started Black History Month in Atlanta alongside Usher, Jermaine Dupri & more, by encouraging the support of local, Black owned banks.
Mike hit the net this morning with the following plea:
We are gonna be opening accounts there and we encourage all of u too do the same! U can keep ya big bank account and use this one as a Savings or you can bring the whole operation. What ever u decide make sure at least 1 account is with a black bank turning that dollar in our community!
#ICATL #CuzImBlack #supportblackbusinesses #blackeconomics #blackdollarsmatter #SupportSmallLocalAndBlackBiz #IfYourNotBlackThatsCoolToo #AllMoneyAcceptedAndProtected #BankSmall #BankLocal #BankBlack
Mike’s request was heard by several in Atlanta’s entertainment community and they all joined forces to open accounts at Atlanta’s minority owned Citizens Trust Bank.
