I first met Kandi Burruss on a summer day in 1993.  I was an intern on the set of the first music video for the group Xscape. The song was “Just Kickin It” and I was doing more than just kickin it on what felt like the hottest day ever!

Trivia… the club was the Masquerade, the neighborhood was little Five Points and the convertible actually belonged to Tiny.

My nondescript role was to do whatever anyone on set told me to do. However, my personal mission was to make sure that I STOOD OUT FROM THE REST of the “low folks” on the totem pole.

Kandi Burruss went LIVE on Ustream last night during a recording session and brought a couple of her friends.  Kandi, Keri Hilson, Wyclef Jean, DJ Drama and even Kim Zolciak hit the screen to entertain over 40,000 of their twitter followers live and in living color. According to FreddyO:

With over 41,000 people watching them live on twitter the talked about everything thing their fans wanted to know… The night got even crazier when Wyclef walked in fresh off a plane to record some hits.

The lovely ladies of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta have been spotted around town recently. Photographer FreddyO captured the crew during an appearance at Atlantic Station for Good Housekeeping’s interactive traveling exhibit. Guests to the exhibit learn what it takes what it takes for products to earn Good Housekeeping’s seal of approval.

The women officially opened the event and shared in a few of the activities:

Kandi Burruss held a “Tweet & Meet” networking event at Dave & Busters Sunday evening and was joined by her friends Rasheeda, Diamond & Antonia ‘Toya” Carter. Tameka “Tiny” Cottle normally would have been included in this group, however, she had to make a trip to visit her boo T.I., who’s still incarcerated in Arkansas.

I’m told over 500 people showed up as the four ladies tweeted and greeted all of their Twitter followers and fans. One of my favorite supporters AttorneyMom also hit up the event with her family:

The suspect accused of manslaughter in the beating death of Ashley “AJ” Jewell has been speaking out about the case. Jewell, who died suddenly after a fight in the parking lot of The Body Tap Strip Club, has been laid to rest, but the case against suspect Frederick Robinson continues as he claims to be the “victim” in the situation.
