Juanita Bynum’s ex-husband Bishop Thomas Weeks III remarried over the weekend in a quiet ceremony. Weeks, head of Global Destiny Worldwide, an international church empire, chose to keep the nuptials hush hush, inviting only his church family and friends instead of the media spotlight that followed him during the stormy break-up of his marriage to pastor Juanita Bynum in 2008.  His new bride, Christina Glenn is a self-described prophetess, who like Bynum has a ministry of her own. Weeks has incorporated Glenn into his enterprise, which hawks everything from videos to Christian conference tickets and the couple even appears together on a videotaped seminar showing Christians how to start loving relationships called “You Can Begin Again.”

In a bizarre move, Weeks chose to have a private ceremony while offering to sell his wedding video online for $10. In comparison, his wedding to Bynum was an extravagent million dollar ceremony that ended in drama. Being that Weeks is the man behind Juanita Bynum’s “Domestic Violence” campaign, we can only pray that his new ‘prophetess’ bride can foresee the violence way before it begins.

The newlyweds are now on their honeymoon in an undisclosed location.

Prophetess Juanita Bynum held her 50th birthday bash last Friday night at the Georgian Ballroom in the Biltmore Hotel. All that ghettofabuless-ness was going on downstairs as I was upstairs in the same building during the B.o.B. listening party. I have never seen so many church folks in one place…well except at church. I bet you’re wondering why Juanita’s wearing that dayum wedding dress aren’t you? Well…apparently she explained to Essence that for her 50th birthday she was gonna face her fears and do things a bit differently:

One of the greatest moments of my life was the day that I married. That day was supposed to be the defining moment of my life when I would show the world that I had stepped into my womanhood. It was always the original intention of my dress and I refused to let it not be because it was made for me. So I wore it because I felt like someone had robbed me of that right. I waited so many years to walk in it and I wanted to give the dress the honor for which it had been made. My father told me to always face your fears head-on, and since this was the dress that is connected to the incident for which the whole world remembered me, I said that if I’m going to cross over I have to go back and stand in the same place.

In case you’re wondering, Bynum’s dress is the same one worn in her $1.2 million dollar wedding to Thomas Weeks, the same dude who beat her down in a parking lot then said he was the abused spouse. *sigh* Anway…the dress, valued at $65,000, is adorned with Swarovski crystals and took nine months to make. Bynum says she had to alter it since she’s lost 2 dress sizes since the wedding. She also made her own skirt to celebrate her half a century on earth. The front of the skirt consisted of photos of her; the right side of the skirt had photos of her mom; and the left and back were of her dad.  Photos below:

Check out a sneak peek of Bishop Thomas Weeks, III new online reality dating show. In this episode, Weeks discusses with his staff the criteria of his perfect mate. The staff starts brainstorming with age restrictions and start off with the minimum age being 30, however Weeks gets them down to 25. He also points out that the woman can’t be ugly…and must be “easy on the eyes.” His search is worldwide…get your applications in now!

Evangelist Juanita Bynum’s ex-hubby, Bishop Thomas Weeks, III, is single again and back on the prowl!  I know all you single men women out there can’t wait to grab up this one.  Well, now’s your chance! Weeks is next up on the d-list celebrity circus known as the reality dating show.

Weeks will document his effort to open his heart to love again in 10 streaming video “Webisodes” starting next Tuesday on his Web site www.bishopweeks.com. The idea came after Weeks was flooded with thousands of e-mails and letters from people offering advice about what to look for in his third wife. Some even offered to be his wife.

“There are some very adamant women,” says Weeks’ associate, Minister Guy Reeves of Global Destiny. “A lady from Belgium flew all the way here to meet him. She came to the campus. She wanted to be the next Mrs. Weeks like many others who have approached me about their strong desire to be Bishop Weeks’ wife.” (Source)

Domestic Violence has a Face and a Name…it is Juanita Bynum

Juanita Bynum, the “Face of Domestic Violence” is taking her experience to TV’s “Divorce Court.“  In episodes set to air Thursday and Friday of this week, Bynum observes and weighs in on a case involving domestic violence.    Her husband, Thomas Weeks, who Bynum said  ”choked her, pushed her down, kicked and stomped her … until a bellman pulled him off of her” ~  will not be appearing on the show and is currently involved in violence and anger counseling as a condition of his sentence.

Bynum told Judge Lynn Toler — who hears cases on the syndicated show distributed by Twentieth Television — that she saw signs of trouble in her marriage to Thomas W. Weeks III before the Aug. 21 incident that ended in a physical altercation in a hotel parking lot outside of Atlanta.

“I was just trying to make it work because I don’t like losing relationships,” Bynum said. “All of this just kept getting swept under the rug … So you begin to adapt to a very wrong and very unhealthy marriage.”

After being accused of beating his wife, Juanita Bynum, in an Atlanta area hotel parking lot, Thomas Weeks tells his side of the story to Lee Bailey at EUR:

Lee Bailey:  You said earlier and you’ve said this many times, that you’re the victim -the actual physical victim in this relationship.  Is that correct?

Bishop Thomas Weeks: Yes.  She hit me and choked me.  I wanna put it in this perspective.  The reason I have never shared this with the public before-not that anybody should be abused, women should not be abused or men should be abuse or kick or hit or anything.  In emotional dysfunctional times people shoe things to a spouse that say I need help.  There’s a cry for help.  There’s a need for somebody to reach out and do something.  I walked through the situation.  I tried to talk with her and deal with it.  If it was s daily experience where she came home and threw things at me and she just did it every day, then of course that is a deeper issue of abuse.  However, I think some people just lose it for a moment or possibly for a segment and really have to deal with it for a cry help.  And that’s why I took those areas even though I wish she would have stopped and said, ‘Yes, I lost it on some of our heated fellowships and I did some things that I regret.’ she never mentioned it.  And that’s one of the reasons I’m speaking out because you can’t become-first of a fictitious face of domestic violence because you wanna take this cause and run with it for whatever gain it will bring to you, but you’re not even bringing the balance to say ‘listen, there could and might be issues on both sides depending on who you’re married to and what their previous experiences are.’  And as a person that is principle oriented that has always dealt with the fabric of empowering single and married relationships I just can’t stay silent anymore without addressing this with truthful facts. Juanita Bynum made her first public appearance today since the domestic incident where she was alledgedly beaten by her husband, Thomas Weeks, in a hotel parking lot.  The meeting, held today at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead was not publicized by TBN, but fans were notified via Ms. Bynum’s website.  During her appearance, Bynum stated that she is now the face of Domestic Violence.  You can view interview here.
