Jennifer Hudson has introduced her new edition to the world. Meet J-Hud’s bundle of joy, David Otunga, Jr, who’ll celebrate his 2 month birthdate in a few days.  Jennifer revealed the photo to People magazine as she spoke about the joys of motherhood:

How hard was it keeping your pregnancy under wraps?
“David and I were the only people who knew for a long time. I would forget I was pregnant, it was so easy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, no cravings either. I just thought, ‘Oh, well, we’ll wait until it’ll tell on itself.’ I didn’t show until I was seven months so that made it easy right there.”

Your son was delivered via C-section, what was your recovery like?
“Everybody told me how much it was going to hurt afterwards but I think I have a different tolerance for pain than others. By that night after I had the baby, I’m like, ‘Look, I can’t sit in this bed anymore. I’ve got to get up!’ I’ve been up and about since he was born. To me, the pain is no different than when you work out a muscle you’ve never worked out before and it’s sore.”

Has his personality emerged yet?
“He has a lot of personality, like David. He’s always been a good sleeper. His favorite time to smile now is diaper changes. Or when he spits up on you – he just cracks up like he thinks it’s the funniest thing. And his bottle is his pacifier. With a pacifier, it’s like he knows, ‘Ain’t nothing come out of here. No, I don’t want that. Where’s the real deal?’ His best friend is that bottle; that’s all he wants.”

Would you be supportive if he wants to pursue a career in entertainment?
“We’ll definitely encourage education. His father is an education fanatic so we definitely want him to get an education and go to school. My mom always said, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’ll support you as long as you’re happy.’ So I will do the same.”

Jennifer Hudson performed in Atlanta last week amidst speculation that she’d either gained weight or was a few months pregnant. I admit, she did look a little stuffed in her mid-section but I didn’t even give it a second thought. Well, ladies and gents, a source close to Jennifer has recently confirmed what a lot of people where whispering.  Jennifer’s got a lil ‘punk’ in the oven!

While her manager and publicist deny the rumors, two sources close to the Oscar and Grammy winner confirm exclusively to ESSENCE.com that she is indeed expecting. This would be the first child for Hudson.

Hudson, who is currently receiving rave reviews while on tour with Robin Thicke, is engaged to David Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate and former contestant on “I Love New York 2.” The couple plans to marry sometime soon, but hasn’t confirmed a wedding date.

Tragedy struck the singer last October when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered. Hudson made a triumphant return to the spotlight on February 1 when she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl. She went on to win her first Grammy Award for best R&B album on February 8. While her manager and publicist deny the rumors, two sources close to the Oscar and Grammy winner confirm exclusively to ESSENCE.com that she is indeed expecting. Continuing the baby boom, singer/Actress Jill Scott and her fiance Lil John Roberts welcomed a son into the world Monday! Little Jett Hamilton Roberts was born at 4:20 PM on April 20th weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. (Source)

Jennifer Hudson stopped by the Oprah Winfrey Show Friday (February 27, 2009) for Oprah’s Friday Live show. Jennifer spoke about her Super Bowl performance, the Grammys, her fiance David (Punk) Otunga and her upcoming Tour with Robin Thicke. The interview was basically a love fest and any hard questions were obviously ignored. Jennifer did, however state that she’s “in a good place” and prays everyday before performing “If This Isn’t Love” from her Grammy winning album.

She looks great and we’re all glad she’s back!
