As you know, T.I. will be reporting to prison for Arkansas in a few short days to begin serving his jail time. The rapper was sentenced to a year-and-one-day prison sentence after pleading guilty in March to federal weapons charges in Atlanta and is scheduled to report to Forrest City’s low-security federal prison by noon on May 26th. The good news for Tip is that he will be given credit for the 305 days of home confinement that he did prior to being charged. Which means….(drum roll please) he’ll only be spending about 2 months in jail! (Source)
So all y’all out there crying and screaming about already missing him can dry your tears. Tip’s only going away to summer camp. He’ll be back before school starts in the fall…
T.I. has teamed up with MTV for a new reality show entitled “T.I’s Road To Redemption: 45 Days To Go.” The show premieres next month and it’s Tip’s hope that the series will scare teens away from a life of crime. Since being convicted of felony gun charges last year, the 27 year old rapper has been following the terms of a plea deal where he’s completed almost 1000 hour of community service. He is scheduled to begin serving his jail sentence of one year and one day behind bars on March 27th.
In “T.I.’s Road To Redemption: 45 Days To Go,” viewers will not only watch as T.I. attempts to help change the lives of desperate teenagers across the country but they will also get a behind-the-scenes peek at the most private and personal moments of one of today’s hottest most sought after artists on the verge of leaving his glittering career for time behind bars. Atlanta based rapper, T.I. aka Clifford Harris, is expected to enter a guilty plea today in his federal gun charges case. The hearing begins at 1:30pm and there is certain jailtime involved:
I posted this a few days ago, but I felt that this information deserved it’s own post. Michael Vick decided to turn himself into jail early last week and his formal sentencing is scheduled for December 10th. I felt that since there are so many Michael Vick fans in the “A”, I needed to make this information available to those of you who seek it…..
NOW you can wear your “Free Vick” T’s…you officially have my permission!!
Michael Vick has turned himself into custody EARLY so that he may get out of jail as quickly as possible. The sentencing hasn’t even taken place yet, but his attorney’s feel that this is the best move for him.
“The sooner he gets in, the better it is for him if he wants to play football again,” said Atlanta criminal defense attorney Jerry Froelich, who has followed Vick’s case. “He should have gone into custody right away.” (Source – AJC)
I guess since he was confined to house arrest anyway, it didn’t matter one way or the other. Poor Mike….he’s lost all of his endorsements, has had to sell his home, just had a new baby …and on top of everything else…his golddiggin girlfriend left him two days after giving birth!
