Check out this new track from D.O.E. featuring Keri Hilson entitled “Coming Down.” D.O.E., formerly known as John DOE, is most recognized by his appearance on Timbaland’s “The Way I Are,” which also featured Keri. This new song has the same pop feel as “The Way I Are” and was produced by Timbaland’s protege, Nate “Danjahandz” Hills.
I haven’t put it on the “A” pod yet, but it totally qualifies for the WORKOUT playlist! What do you guys think? Bump it….or Dump it?
Check out Ne-yo’s new video for “She Got Her Own” featuring Jamie Foxx and Fabolous. Jill Marie Jones and Eve are also spotted in the video. They shoulda used Robin Givens too… I love this song…the original and the remix but it’s funny how guys can be soooo gullible. Jamie Foxx sings that he loves a woman who can get the bill every now and can do it for herself…“makes me wanna give her my wealth…” Ha! Golddiggers take notes… Step 1 - Pretend you are independant.
T.I.’s Grand Hustle artist, Yung LA filmed the video for his hot new single “Ain’t I” yesterday. The song features the bossman, T.I. as well as Young Dro. We’ve been bumpin it for a minute in the “A” but if you haven’t heard it yet you know I got you!
I dunno bout this one. The performance was OK and I’m sure it was spectacular in person, but the studio version of the song just doesn’t really do it for me. Maybe if I listen to it 50-eleven more times it’ll grow on me…
Kanye West closed out the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards last night by performing his first single from his upcoming “A Good A*s Job” project. Billed as an “Explosive Finish” to the awards, the song, called “Love Lockdown” has Kanye doing a T-Pain by converting to a Rapper turnt Sanger and using the auto-tune feature on his voice. It was definitely something different for Kanye! If you missed it or just want to see it again…check out the video: (more…)
Check out the newest leak from T.I.’s upcoming “Paper Trail” project. The song was produced by Kanye West and includes an addictive sample from M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes,” where she declares “No one on the corner got swagger like us.” As the producer of the track, I guess it was Kanye’s call to start off the track with his vocals: ”I know I got it first/ I’m Christopher Columbus, y’all just the Pilgrims/ How it feel to wake up and be the sh–and the urine?/ Nah-na-na, trying to get that Kobe number, one over Jordan.” Jay’s next up — “You can pay for school, but you can’t buy class” — Weezy’s third and Tip is the closer.
Word on the street is that Tip is furious about “Swagger Like Us” (or “S.L.U.) being leaked so soon. What he had to say about it and the download link under the cut: (more…)
