Single ladies… meet Junrey Balawing of the Philippines.
On Sunday June 12, 2011, Balawing received the honor of officially becoming “the world’s shortest living man,” measuring just 23.6 inches (59.93cm) tall.
At birth, Junrey was the size of a 1-litre coke bottle. His mother started to suspect something wasn’t right when Junrey was four years old any smaller than his friends.
His family sought advice and he was given medication to strengthen his bones, but these made no difference. Junrey, who now weighs only 5kg, became eligible for the record over the weekend as he celebrated his 18th birthday and was measured by Guinness World Records officials.
Asked what he hoped for now he’s the world’s shortest man, Junrey, said:
“I like beer and I want a beautiful wife,” before adding… “She’ll probably be taller than me.”
Are you’re in the market for a potential mate? Will you travel the world for a perfect match?
Don’t count him out just cause he’s short… they say, good things come in small packages!
