Do Black females and White females use FaceBook
differently? Well the net certainly seems to think so!
A list entitled “15 Things Black Girls Do on Facebook” has gone viral and there are certainly some things on the list that can be considered valid.
I wrote a post a while back putting one of my Facebook friends on blast and while I’m not doing that THIS time, there are definitely some people in my FB newsfeed that fit the description of a BGF.
That’s “Black Girl Facebooker”for those who don’t know. BTW – I just made that up. 😆

This is a profile picture on facebook…then lil mama has her name place of employment and everything else on her profile…really? Who does that?
I think I can safely say posting a photo like this (especially alongside your employment information) is a social media DON’T! I swear some people should be banned from the innnnanet!
On a lighter note, if you feel like an URB-al ATL flashback…. Continue Reading…
The photo above is currently circulating on the social networking site Twitter. I have no idea of it’s origin but it’s apparent that the girls in it are pretty young…. and pretty PREGNANT!
I wrote a post a while ago about 90 Teens Pregnant at one Tennessee high school (click HERE if you missed it), so the imagery of a group of knocked up teens, while shocking, isn’t THAT surprising.
“Amber Cole” was just the beginning! This should be a warning shot that if we don’t take the wheel and steer our teens in another direction… THIS is what will be the norm.
Shoutout to @MisMinL23 for bringing to my attention.

Facebook PSA: “Like Mah Status Bish!”
Asking someone to “LIKE” your Facebook status
is almost as annoying as tweeting someone asking them to “FOLLOW ME
” on the Twittah.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there are several other social media annoyances like those chicks who pose bucked naked in the bathroom mirror everyday seeking online validation, but I digress.
I dunno how I ever missed Miles Jai‘s classic Facebook PSA, but he manages to puts all you annoying “Like Mah Status” b*tches on blast with this interpretative performance art piece.
All you avid “Face-bookers” probably already “LIKED” this hilarious video, but for those of you who haven’t seen it yet YOU HAVE GOTS to watch… Continue Reading…
When was the last time you worried about your online reputation? Whether you think so or not, you could have an online reputation that could cause problems with your current employer.
That was the case with Bartow County school teacher, Ashely Payne. Payne lost her job after school officials questioned her about images posted on her Facebook page.

Payne says she was forced to resign from her job at Apalachee High School in August 2009 after someone claiming to be a parent sent an email complaining about her vacation pictures.
At issue were several shots of Payne smiling while holding alcoholic beverages during a trip to Europe and there was also a Facebook status update Payne had written, stating she was headed to a game of “Crazy Bitch Bingo” at a Midtown restaurant.
The young teacher subsequently filed a lawsuit, asking the court to determine that she was entitled to a due process hearing. She also sought back pay and money for legal fees, however Superior Court Judge Chief Judge David Motes ruled against her yesterday.
In the ruling, Motes notes that Georgia law maintains that if employees resign, even when their hands are forced, it doesn’t equal an involuntary termination.
Whooda thought that one could lose a job over a photo holding an alcoholic beverage? 😕
How cognizant are you about what you post online?
