I caught up with Dondria aka Phatfffat recently at her new musical home of So So Def Studios. The talented singer has a newly released single entitled, “You’re The One” and is anxious to release her debut album, Dondria vs. Phatfffat.
The hot single has already hit the airwaves and is a Bryan Michael-Cox/Jermaine Dupri production with strong emotional vocals reminiscent of a young Monica. Listen below:

In case you’ve been under a rock, Dondria was discovered by Jermaine Dupri after she posted a series of videos on her YouTube channel displaying her talents. She says that she started posting the vids just to get input on her voice, she had no idea she’d get the responses she received. Some of her videos have over a million views and counting!

Big Boi aka Daddy Fat Sacks aka Sir Luscious Leftfoot aka my future ex-husband aka the son of Chico Dusty invited me for a special listening session last night at Stankonia Studios. As I was treated to a musical tour of Twan’s unrealeased cd by candlelight and kush, I felt a familiar affinity to the music. This ain’t just no regular CD y’all! I’ve already got a few favorites. I was sworn to secrecy but there’s quite a few surprises in store and I’m almost positive that Sir Luscious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty will be an instant classic.
Big Boi cleared up a few rumors last night as well, the first being that he’s signed to Def Jam. He’s not. He says that his album company came back to him with an offer he couldn’t refuse so he’s still Jive and he ain’t going nowhere.
It’s taken some time to complete this album cause classics aren’t created overnight, but from the tracks I heard, it’s well worth the wait. I talked Big Boi into going live last night and we acted a fool on UStream for a while. I dunno if it was the Kush or my company, but Big Boi eventually decided to premiere an ENTIRE song for his fans, LIVE…on air last night! The song, “For Your Sorrows” features George Clinton and Too Short and he got quite a bit of positive feedback. So much so, that he promised to send over the full HQ version in a few days.

Grand Hustle’s resident funnyman Lil Duval (aka Roland Powell)celebrated his birthday last night at Luckie Food Lounge. Not only did he don his favorite high-yella Super Fly polyester birthday suit, but the crazy “A”zz comic drank all the liquor in the building and partied til the wee hours of the morning. I have absolutely no idea how old the birthday boy is now but according to his wikipedia page, he’s 32 this year.

I sat down with Pleasure P a few days ago during his private listening session for his upcoming solo project entitled “The Introduction of Marcus Cooper.” Prior to us getting down to business, P decided to go ahead an answer the one burning question that was on everyone’s mind: What the hell did he think of his former Pretty Ricky bandmate Sexy Spec’s Grind Challenge video? The answer surprised quite a few of us, since those red speedo’s and fruity spins were fresh on all our brains:
I ain’t gone let y’all sit and talk bad about him…because I was once in a group with him and I’m never gonna forget that. I was on the stage with him and we had a lot of good times. I would never let nobody talk bad about him around me. While I’m here, if y’all would please just keep down your comments and stuff…. I just want him to do his thang and that’s what he’s doing and I’m doing me. That’s the best way I can handle this situation.
And if I were your homeboy, I would do the same thing. If I was in a group with you, even if we don’t talk, even if we ain’t cool no more… I would never throw you under the bus. Never.
Pleasure P’s a real stand up dude! I can really respect that. *sigh* OK…since we got that out the way early, we were all free to enjoy the unreleased music we voluntarily came to hear. I was actually quite impressed by several tracks.

I heard that there was a bit of drama in the club between Kandi and NeNe but since everyone signed a waiver, no one’s talking about it. Dayum! I knew I shoulda went by Opera with everyone else after the Girl’s Club social, but I chose lame “A”zz Luckie’s. My bad…

Woods and Mika Means. The 3rd founder, Shanell, was out of town and unable to attend last night. Carlysia Levert (singer/songwriter/Gerald Levert’s daughter), NecoleBitchie (NecoleBitchie.com), Princess (Crime Mob), Brian (Concrete Loop), Bola (Grand Hustle), Ebony Love (singer/songwriter) and more all came through to show love to the MOVEMENT at 404 Lounge last night. The only requirement was that NO HATERS were allowed…
