Meet loyal StraightFromTheA.com reader LaToya Walton. LaToya looks like a totally different person after losing a total of 70lbs since joining the Dramatic Weight Loss
diet program and I’m so proud of her!
Those of you who have read StraightFromTheA for a while, know that DWL has made a huge difference in my life after I lost over 75lbs last year.

I’ve gained 12lbs back with all the traveling I’ve been doing lately but I’m back on track now. And even with my back sliding, I’m still proud to say that I’ve kept the bulk of it off for over a year!
That being said, I’ve tried to encourage others who have also struggled with their weight and have received several emails with people showing off their results.
Peep the letter I got from Latoya and more of her before/after photos below

So I shed my shyness for about a day and a half and attended the For Sisters Only Expo as a “spokesperson” for Dramatic Weight Loss and V-103′s Elle Duncan, Reginae Carter and several StraightFromTheA.com readers stopped by to say hi.
Anyone who follows this blog knows my struggles with weight loss and when Dramatic Weight Loss hit me up late last year, I decided to try it.
I was a bit skeptical about the program at first, so I kept it to myself for a hot second. But blogged my journey when I hit 25lbs and did a video dancing for joy when I hit my 50lb mark (click HERE if you missed that).
I feel off the wagon for a hot second because I couldn’t believe how FINE I was… I mean, shoot I could finally shop in the regular sizes, you couldn’t tell me NOTHING! But I hopped back on and have so far hit 73lbs down! Woot Woot!
Dramatic Weight Loss is NOT paying me to say any of this, so trust me when I tell you THE PROGRAM WORKS! I believe in it so much, that I basically donated my time to stand in 6inch heels and tell people about it during For Sisters Only.
And I swear… if one mo person LAUGHS at my before picture!!!!

Did my good gay Drama Dupree really just come for me by mocking my Dramatic Weight Loss video? I think he did… *gasp*

I always do those “incredible shrinking woman” posts about Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah & Mo’Nique… and they all totally inspired me. Now I can finally put ME in one.
I made a promise to my loyal readers that I would make a video once I lost 50 pounds and I’m proud to keep my promise… Continue Reading…
Legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin is noticeably slimmer these days since having surgery in December. The 68-year-old Franklin underwent surgery during that time for an undisclosed ailment, which some believe was gastric bypass.
Although Franklin denies it, she has never specified exactly what kind of surgery it was, stating only that it was “more than minor surgery.”
Regardless of the gastric-bypass rumors, Franklin say she lost the weight by working out and walking on a track three times a week. She’s given up her beloved chitterlings, pigs’ feet and ham hocks in favor of a Whole Foods-type diet, and hopes to get down to a size 16.
“They’re off my diet. They just really don’t fit with Whole Foods,” she said. “I had it for enough years that I don’t miss it. You can’t continue to eat things that are not good for you.”
She’s right about those ham hocks & pig’s feet…. not only will they kill you but they’ll make your breastesses BIG AS HELL!
Ms. Franklin was also spotted recently sitting courtside at a Detroit Piston’s game (photos below).
I guess we’ll be seeing a lot more (or shall I say a lot less) of her on the scene now that she’s happier with her appearance.
You go girl!
I decided a while ago, after packing on the pounds that I had to either get my big “A”zz moving or invest in once of those lil scooter thingys I see the old folks riding in at Walmart.
Choosing the cheaper option, I decided to start a work out plan. I was approached by a trainer (who shall remain nameless) who I worked with for about 2 weeks. I was totally committed for those 2 weeks but my trainer wasn’t very committed to me. I’ve been asked about it several times, but long story short… he had ulterior motives that had absolutely nothing to do with losing weight, so I kicked him and that negative energy to the curb.
Now… fast forward to today, I contacted Dr. Scott Cameron at Dramatic Weight Loss after I’d seen quite a few of my “industry” friends slimming down.
I met with him on November 3rd and immediately hopped on the DWL plan. That first week, I lost 10 lbs.! Needless to say, I was hooked… Continue Reading…
