Word on the street is that Beyonce’s “Mama Tina” aka Celestine Knowles has filed for divorce against Matthew Knowles.  After years of rumored infidelities and babies on the side, Tina has finally got up the nerve to call it quits.

You may have heard by now that Shaunie O’neal has filed for legal separation against her husband Shaquille O’neal. It’s not the first time these two have gone at it but is it the last? It’s only been a few months since the rumor mill stopped spinning over Shaq’s Atlanta side piece, Mary Jane.  In fact, there are still those who wonder if Mary Jane’s son is actually Shaq’s. The divorce papers have been filed, the attorneys have all been hired and now the good part begins. The full divorce documents have been revealed and it appears that Usher’s been gone long before our assumption of early this year.  Divorce documents indicate that the two have lived apart since July 2008, spending not even a year together as a married couple after tying the knot August 3, 2007:

“The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,” read the documents, filed in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court.

“There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation.”

Typical divorce? I dunno. Strange thing is…Mrs. Raymond, who’s professed through her attorney’s to be a loving and selfless wife, hired a private investigator to trail Usher soon after he split. Usher’s attorneys are seeking those surveillance documents from Tameka, as well as any “notes, cards, letters, photographs, film, documents, tapes, voice recordings, gift, jewelry, clothes” or other evidence that reflects on Usher’s conduct during their marriage, as well as detective reports, photos or recordings that have resulted from either “surveillance or investigation.” They also seek “any and all diaries or personal notes kept…during the course of the marriage.”

Well, a source informed me a few weeks ago that Usher’s divorce papers were in the works and swore me to secrecy. The same source called me yesterday confused as to why the papers hadn’t been released and expressed concern as to how someone inside Fulton County could block public documents from being revealed. As you know, court documents are open record, so today they were finally posted via Fulton County’s website, with a hearing scheduled for July 15, 2009: (more…)
