Ludacris was spotted on the upper level of Luckie Food Lounge Wednesday night scuffling with some unsuspecting fan. Strange thing is…his big “A”zz bodyguards stood and watched as Luda body slammed the seemingly innocent man.
Blam! Straight on his dayum back…
…and he had no idea it was coming!
Don’t be alarmed. It was only a video shoot for DTP’s front man Ludacris and rapper Shawnna for the first single from their upcoming album “Battle of the Sexes” and the “innocent fan” was non other than funnyman Lil Duval! Duval joined in on the fun sporting Ciara’s wig and it was fun times for all. The party continued downstairs as Yung Joc celebrated the release of his free cd “Grind Flu” (Click Here for free download), as all of Atlanta came out for support. Spotted in the crowd were Lil Scrappy, Shawtly Lo, D. Woods and more.
Lil Wayne’s hot new protege Shanell is totally blowing everyone away during the America’s Most Wanted tour! Shanell aka SNL (sister of former Danity Kane member D. Woods) is so talented that she’s on tour with heavyweights like Wayne and Young Jeezy without even an album out! She does, however, have a new mixtape coming out soon and is also set to release a full album in 2010. Shanell performed her new song “Play in my Band” onstage and showcased her starpower.
You betta work b*tch!!!
Shanell’s bout to get em! For real…y’all betta keep your eyes on this one. Don’t say I didn’t tell you. I’ve also secured a HQ copy of Shanell’s “Play in my Band” song which features Lil Wayne for your listening pleasure!
Atlanta was the central celebration location yesterday (June 16th) for what would have been Tupac Shakur’s 38th birthday. The 1st annual Tupac Birthday All-Star Benefit Concert was held at The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Atlanta and his mother, Afeni Shakur & actor/comedian Mike Epps joined forces to honor the fallen rapper.
The unique partnership was created by Epps, who despite juggling a national comedy tour, promotion of the new DVD “Funny Bidness” and two box-office films, “Next Day Air” and “Janky Promoters,” felt honored to interrupt his busy schedule to celebrate the late rapper:
“I’m a long-time fan of Pac’s music. It’s always been the soundtrack for overcoming struggle and when my life was in a desolate place it was his messages that helped bring me through,” says Epps. “I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for his inspiration. It’s an honor for me to stand alongside his mother, Afeni Shakur in celebrating such a personal moment in her son’s history.”

D. Woods sang the National Anthem last night at the 2009 NBA Playoffs (Cavaliers ~vs~ Magics) in Cleveland, OH. I’ve always been a fan of her voice, but after hearing this rendition, I know without a doubt that big things are in the works for the former Danity Kane member! Do your thang Dee!
You may recall the post I did about being inducted into the The Girl’s Club last year, well I finally attended my first social last night, hosted by two of the founding members, D. Woods and Mika Means. The 3rd founder, Shanell, was out of town and unable to attend last night. Carlysia Levert (singer/songwriter/Gerald Levert’s daughter), NecoleBitchie (NecoleBitchie.com), Princess (Crime Mob), Brian (Concrete Loop), Bola (Grand Hustle), Ebony Love (singer/songwriter) and more all came through to show love to the MOVEMENT at 404 Lounge last night. The only requirement was that NO HATERS were allowed…

Danity Kane alumni D. Woods performed live in Atlanta Tuesday night. The show was held at Sambuca and was packed wall to wall with fans. Since I was only there to support my girl Dee, I had no idea that Janelle Monae was going to perform (I know I’m slow). Each performed two songs and Janelle was somewhat of a pleasant surprise….that is, until she jumped on my table and almost broke my camera! That chick is hilarious! Click Here to watch her performance (fast forward to 4:15 to see her ‘table dance’)
I was live TWITTERing and filming at the same time. Check out a few of the pics my followers got during the show..
