Ciara covers the December 2008 issue of Right-On magazine with somewhat of a different look. She is really going all out with her “Go Girl” glamour image. Love it! Especially the throwback POW! doorknocker earrings created by Melody Ehsani. The photo was captured by Atlanta celebrity photographer Derek Blanks.
Ciara also took a moment yesterday to share her election night memories of Barack Obama’s historic win:
The 23-year-old spent election night going back and forth from inside an Atlanta rehearsal studio to the hallway to check the results. “Finally, when rehearsals were over I just sat in the lobby area where the TVs are and watched the speeches. Just took it all in.
“I’ve just been feeling this sense of pride, like for days now,” she said. “Not just because of the history of the first black president — but because I just believe he will be a great president. Black people didn’t just vote for him, all ethnicities did. And I think that’s because Barack Obama sees us all as one. All Americans.
“I didn’t cry last night when I was watching his speech, but when I was driving here to rehearsal today, they were playing it on the radio with [contemporary gospel singer] Marvin Sapp’s ‘Never Would Have Made It’ underneath, and I just started boo-hooing.” (source)
I know this remix has been out for a minute…but so what. I still like it! Slim, formerly of 112, has recruited Faith Evans and Big Boi for the remix of “So Fly”. The song is Slims first single from his upcoming “Love’s Crazy” release. The album is expected to drop November 18th.

Check out this behind the scenes footage of T.I.’s Giant Magazine photoshoot. Tip is killin ‘em in that fur pimp coat. I dunno bout you….but I don’t see any signs of Jim Jones’ swag in this wardrobe selection.
There’s no doubt that Beyonce is back. Her people are making sure that her face, name and music are leaking all over the internet! Mrs. Carter recently completed a photo shoot with Essence Magazine for their November 2008 issue. Check out a snippet of her close and personal interview:
“I feel that, especially now, with the Internet and paparazzi and camera phones, it’s so difficult to maintain mystery. And that’s so important. Even in a relationship, I feel like not being that accessible is really important. If you think about Prince or Michael Jackson, or any superstars, you couldn’t see them when they got off their planes or when they got out of the pool and didn’t comb their hair. It’s great that people see we’re not perfect. But it’s almost impossible to have superstars now, because people will never get enough. And it’s not even about my music. It’s about all the things that people imagine about me in their minds. But I can’t satisfy everyone. I know that Jay and I probably do inspire people. And I appreciate people feeling proud. But this is the only way I’ve been able to stay sane, so why would I start talking now?
Beyonce also discussed her marriage and why she chose to keep the wedding small and intimate: (more…)

Ciara hit up MTV news still disgruntled over the fact that she’s nude on the cover of Vibe Magazine. Although there was no mention of a lawsuit, Ci Ci says she walked into the situation expecting to be involved in an “artistic” photoshoot and says once she saw the photo it was very misleading. Vibe editor in chief Danyel Smith says she wasn’t at the shoot, but that she knows for a fact Ciara was naked, because being naked was Ciara’s idea. (”It was love and kisses and nakedness,” Smith told New York’s KIIS-FM.) Smith has also stated that she may release the original photos on Vibe’s website so everyone can see for themselves. To be continued…
