Lil Wayne’s Ex recently addressed his controversial BET Awards show performance where he performed “Every Girl” while his daughter and other underaged girls danced onstage:
I Antonia ” Toya” Carter have been disturbed but silent about the recent performance that took place at the BET awards, which including my only child Reginae Carter and her friends joining her father Lil Wayne on stage while he performed his new single “Every Girl”. I will be the first to admit that the father and daughter relationship should not have been reunited on stage for any particular reason while this song was being performed.
Wayne is a very loving, caring, and devoted father and I truly feel that the act was unintentional due to the fact that he was trying to make his little girl happy by letting her be on stage with her father. Once again, I do not of any degree think it was a wise decision and I truly do apologize to all that this may offended and most importantly the children that watched this performance. I feel we all have learned a lot from this situation and pray that the viewers will allow these children to move forward with their lives and not held accountable because they are innocent.
I was catching up on all the pre-awards show footage from the 2009 BET Awards that I missed and noticed this spoof video that Rocsi and Terrence J did. How cute is it that they remade snippets of all of the nominees? Love it!
Atlanta’s own Keri Hilson performed on her first major awards show wearing her ode to Michael Jackson….glittery socks and all. The diva performed “Turnin Me On” and “Knock You Down” and for her tribute to the King of Pop, Keri performed a brief dance number while Kanye’s verse “Bad Real Bad…Michael Jackson” repeated in the background.
I was waiting on Keri to belt out a classic MJ tune but was disappointed (yet again) all I could do was yell at the screen:
“Dance…Spin…Grab Yo Crotch… SOMETHING!! Dayum!”
Remember that game where you fell backwards hoping someone would catch you?
Keri obviously has no problems with trust…

Keyshia Cole performed her hit “Trust” featuring Monica last night during the 2009 BET Awards. It’s undeniable that both of these two have mad talent and they’re actually really close friends, but the overwhelming consensus amongst anyone who watched the show was that Mo totally stole the show! Even Jamie Foxx couldn’t contain himself during the aftershow, where he begged Monica for new album RIGHT this very minute. Monica was her usual glowing self and took all the compliments in stride stating that she’s more than ready for her comeback. Check out a few flix from the show below:

Tiny & Toya hit the 2009 BET Awards show last night. Tiny accepted T.I.’s viewer’s choice award for “Live Your Life” and even prepared a min speech for the event. It was the first time Tiny had ventured out without Tip and although she admits to being nervous as hell, she had her BFF Toya to lean on. SouljaBoy Tellem & Keri Hilson always show much ATL love for each other and get my vote for hottest couple at last nights 2009 BET Awards show (Sorry Bey/Jey). You can’t deny how adorable they look together. Everytime these two share a photo there’s so much chemistry the camera seems to melt…remember when he let her rock his chain at Timbaland’s Grammy Party? Well, I said it then that SB was tryna push up. I know what you’re thinking but Aaliyah said it best: age ain’t nothin but a number. Look at that gleam in SB’s eye…he’s got plans for Keri!
