Ne-Yo (aka Schaffer Smith) has officially spoken up about the day he found out that the son he thought was his, turned out to be another man’s baby!
Smith who is now the father of two healthy and happy children of his own, revealed the painful ordeal during his episode of VH1′s “Behind the Music.”
The “fake” baby mama’s name is Jessica White (not to be confused with the supermodel) and while the deceit was bad enough, her treachery went even further as she forced Ne-Yo to fork over a ton of dough for a child that wasn’t even his.
Ne-Yo On Finding Out the Baby Wasn’t His
Jessica called me, balling crying. I’m like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ And all she could say is, ‘He’s not yours, he’s not yours.’ She just kept saying it over and over and over again, to the point where I dropped the phone. Chimere’s not mine.
That hurt ’cause I had attached myself to this guy, you know. This is my son. I’m looking at him and I’m picturing I’m gonna be old, and he’s gonna be — this is my son! It’s not my son.
Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott was featured on VH1’s “Behind the Music” last night and revealed several startling details about her past.
Missy aka Melissa Arnette Elliott is a force in the music industry, with a career that has ranged from songwriter to singer to rapper to producer.
Elliott’s talents and her musical relationship with friend Timbaland launched them both into superstardom.
“I thought I had something that was unique,” said the hip-hop innovator. “I wanted to break down all barriers and be a risk taker.”
Elliott reveals on the show that she was sexually abused by a cousin and she also witnessed her father try to kill her mother. She also talks about the loss of her close friend Aaliyah, and her recent battle with Graves’ Disease.

From there, the episode delves deep into Fantasia’s North Carolina roots — beginning with when she began singing (at age 5), then tracing her first love (ex-boyfriend Brandel Shouse, the father of her daughter, Zion), which would later turn into an abusive relationship. “He was somebody I was crazy about,” Barrino said. “The first guy who showed me attention.”

In case you missed it, check out T.I. on VH1’s Behind the Music which aired last night. Tip talks about why he felt the need to stockpile weapons and even shows a bit of remorse for his actions. This is one of the best Behind the Music’s yet… (and yes I can admit I’m biased). Reliving all of Tip’s trials and tribulations via this episode really hit home to me and I’m almost positive I’m not the only ATLien who feels this way.
