    Veteran Fox-5 news anchor Amanda Davis posed for the mugshot above after she was arrested last November and charged with DUI.

    Davis has been a staple of WAGA-TV Fox-5′s newscast for over 25 years, but hasn’t been on air since her brush with the law.

    The 56 year old anchorwoman made a huge impact during her years at the station, often participating in community activism and events, and her popular ‘Wednesday’s Child’ segment graciously highlighted Atlanta area children who were in need of permanent adoptive families.

    Mugshot Mania – Fox 5 Atlanta News Anchor Amanda Davis Busted For DUI…

    Amanda Davis, a local television news anchor posed for the mugshot above after she was arrested on DUI charges Sunday, November 11, 2012.

    Davis, an anchor at Atlanta’s WAGA-TV (Fox 5), was reportedly driving northbound in the southbound lane of Piedmont Avenue near 14th Street in Midtown around 12:20 a.m. when she caused a head on collision.

    Witnesses at the scene of the accident claim that the 55 year-old Davis was being followed in a separate car by a friend, a young male driver.

    After the accident, the gentlemen could be heard telling authorities on the scene that he’d met Davis at a bar earlier and was following her home to make sure she arrived without incident.

    Clearly that didn’t work. :shock:
