Did you catch First Lady Michelle Obama
on the 2013 Academy Awards last night?
The FLOTUS wasn’t actually in Hollywood but she made a historic surprise appearance during this year’s Oscars.
One of the most powerful women in the country stepped into the spotlight to eloquently announce Oscar’s biggest prize — the award for best picture.
Actor Jack Nicholson walked onstage at the end of the evening right before the best picture pronouncement and joked about how the academy tradition is for the award to be announced by a solo presenter. Nicholson stunned the crowd when he announced, “It’s my pleasure to introduce live from the White House, the first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.”
Michelle Obama appeared via live satellite feed on a huge screen above Nicholson wearing a shiny gray gown and backed by several people dressed in formal military uniform.

Mo’nique explains in detail where she keeps the golden statue below: Continue Reading…

All of last year’s winners were in attendance… except Mo’Nique.
So the big question is… why did Monique skip the show? Continue Reading…
Actress/Comedienne MoNique was a vision in royal blue during last night’s Academy Awards show. The diva addressed why she carefully selected the color of her dress in a backstage interview after winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Precious”.
The reason I have on this royal blue dress is because it’s the color that Hattie McDaniel wore in 1940 when she accepted her Oscar.
The reason that I have this Gardenia in my hair? Is because it’s the flower that Hattie McDaniel wore when she accepted her Oscar.
So for you Ms. Hattie McDaniel, I feel you all over me and it’s about time that the WORLD feels you all over them…
A reporter then asks Mo’Nique how she could possibly relate to her character in the movie, Mary Jones. Her response was classic Mo’Nique! Check out the video as well as additional photos below: Continue Reading…
