Dr. Maya Angelou passed away early today and while her body may be gone, the spirit of her words will resonate forever.

The famed poet/author and legend was one of the first guests who appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s Master Class.
One of the lessons Dr. Angelou taught during the class was ‘The Power of Words’. She described how words enter our walls, our clothing, and infiltrates. Words are extremely powerful. They stay with people; they can shape people and sometimes they change people.
Angelou, who was regarded by Oprah as a mentor and “mother-sister-friend”, shared her wisdom on a range of topics ranging from her deep-rooted confidence, her hate for modesty, the responsibility of standing up for yourself, the poison of negativity and the relationship between love and liberation.

Prolific American author, poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou has died at the age of 86.
Angelou died at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Wednesday (May 28, 2014). The author was active on social media, often sharing words or wisdom and knowledge to her 400K+ followers on twitter. Her final tweet says it all…
The 86-year-old was a novelist, actress, professor, singer, dancer and activist. In 2010, President Barack Obama named her the recipient of the Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor.

Welp… it looks like that T.I. and Floyd Mayweather’s ‘beef’ has finally it prime time.
Yesterday (May 26, 2014), Stephen A. Smith & Skip Bayless of ESPN’s ‘First Take’ sports talk show, discussed the topic of Tip & Mayweather’s infamous ‘fatburger brawl,’ which took place in Vegas last weekend.

On ‘First Talk,’ Stephen A. Smith argues that a marital couple should solve their problems offline and I’m prone to agree with him. But while T.I. is clearly accountable for his own piece of side-chick online drama, Smith places most of the blame on Tiny, for putting it out there on instagram in the first place.
