The parents of the two Atlanta brothers who savagely beat and stabbed them in their Snellville home have come forward to relay the message that they forgive their sons.
Yvonne and Zachery Ervin, who still bear the scars from the September 5th attack, spoke with WSB-TV as the visited sons Cameron Ervin, 17, and Christopher Ervin, 22, at Gwinnett County jail, stating:
“Those were not our boys that did that to us. We did not raise them that way.”
Zachery Ervin, the boys’ father also relayed a message of forgiveness, stating:
We forgive our sons, we love them unconditionally. We have to make sure that they understand that to strengthen themselves.
One of the boys told police he plotted to kill his mother since he was 11 years old.

Yes… there are White actresses out there who feel ‘some kinda way’ about Viola Davis’ speech and one of them couldn’t hold their tongue last night and hit social media with her outrage.
After Davis snagged the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama, she also snagged the hearts of many with a powerful speech about the lack of opportunity for Black actresses in Hollywood.

While the world cheered Viola’s powerful words, there was at least one person who was not a fan of Davis’ Emmys acceptance speech… soap star Nancy Lee Grahn (best known for her role as ‘Alexis Davis’ on General Hospital).
Gran wrote a series of tweets last night ripping Davis’ emotional, winning moment onstage during the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards and after receiving a ton of backlash for revealing her elitist attitude, she also issued an apology statement.

Actress Viola Davis
made history last night during the 2015 Emmy Awards as she became the first black woman to win the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama.
The star of How to Get Away with Murder also delivered a very powerful acceptance speech, which sent goosebumps up and down the arms of anyone who witnessed it.
Davis began her speech with a quote from Harriet Tubman: “In my mind, I see a line. And over that line, I see green fields and lovely flowers and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to me over that line, but I can’t seem to get there no how.”
And paid homage to several other black actresses in her speech as well, mentioning Henson, Kerry Washington and Meagan Good as well as How to Get Away with Murder executive producer Shonda Rhimes.
It was this quote that reverberated throughout the airwaves:
“The only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity,” she said during her acceptance speech. “You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there.”

It’s official! Comedian/radio personality Rickey Smiley has landed his own reality show.
Smiley tried his hand at a scripted series based on his life a while back (click HERE if you missed that) but it didn’t do too well, and now he and Roger Bobb are trying again… this time without a ‘script’.
TV One recently announced that Smiley’s show is in production and the hour-long show featuring the syndicated morning show host and stand-up comedian will be titled “Rickey Smiley For Real.”
The new reality show will reportedly follow Smiley as he navigates the “ups” and “downs” of professional demands, single fatherhood, and intimate relationships.
Shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, where he resides during the week, and in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, where he raises his family, Smiley’s struggle to find work-life balance while trying to maintain a love life will be a central focus of the series.
[Sidebar: Pretty soon there will be no one in Atlanta without a reality show! *sigh*]
