Keri Hilson hosted the 3rd Anniversary party for Rap Up Magazine at the NYC soho Adidas store. Teyana Taylor performed at the event and represented in her Adidas gear along with Flav’s missing clock and DMC’s glasses. It appears Keri took the proper measures to keep her feet under wraps…there were no full length photos in the bunch!
Mr. & Mrs. Usher Raymond, IV were spotted having a leisurely lunch at the Crustacean Restaurant in Beverly Hills the other day. When asked by a photog if he was whipped Mrs. Mr. Raymond replied that he was the “luckiest man in the world to have married Tameka.” Tameka probably has him reciting this line every night in front of the mirror! 😯
Atlanta transplant and platinum R&B artist, Akon (whose real name is Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam…no for real…it is!) has recently been called out by one of my favorite sites. TheSmokingGun revealed today that the singer has lied about his criminal past and is not as “Gangsta” as he professes…
While the performer’s rap sheet does include a half-dozen arrests, Akon has only been convicted of one felony, for gun possession. That 1998 New Jersey case ended with a guilty plea, for which the singer was sentenced to three years probation. Another 1998 bust, this one in suburban Atlanta, has been seized upon by Akon and transformed into the big case that purportedly sent him to prison (thanks to his snitching cohorts) for three fight-filled years. In reality, Akon was arrested for possession of a single stolen BMW and held in the DeKalb County jail for several months before prosecutors dropped all charges against him.
So there was no conviction. There was no prison term between 1999 and 2002. And he was never “facing 75 years,” as the singer claimed in one videotaped interview.
Now Knee-grows lyin bout time they DIDN’T spend in jail! What is this world coming to?? 😕
