Oh No….say it ain’t so! Young Jeezy’s name has been brought up in the cocaine-conspiracy case against Black Mafia Family (BMF) member Fleming “Ill” Daniels! Although Jeezy hasn’t been charged with any crime, a witness in the case has implicated Jay “Young Jeezy” Jenkins as a major player who received several kilos of cocaine from the group.
Former BMF member Ralph “Ralphie” Simms is snitchin on everyone in hopes of receiving a lighter sentence.
Simms testified that his job was to unload BMF’s cocaine from limos outfitted with secret compartments. He said he piled as many as 100 “bricks” of cocaine at a time inside the basement of one of BMF’s stash houses, an ultra-modern Buckhead mansion nicknamed “Space Mountain.”
It was a rainy night in Canada and Rihanna still managed to shine! In addition to one of the most anticipated performances of the evening, the singer also walked away with the top honors at the 2008 MuchMusic Video Awards:
Reality stars Girlicious handed out the first award of the night, giving R&B queen Rihanna the trophy for Best International Video for “Don’t Stop the Music.” The Barbadian beauty won both MMVAs she was up for, also picking up the MuchMusic.com Most Watched Video award for her addictive hit “Umbrella.” (Source)
Yet another one for the mugshot gallery. This time it’s Atlanta Falcons reserve safety Daren Stone, who was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with DUI. Stone was spotted weaving through traffic around 3am Sunday and Atlanta Police stopped him and charged him with DUI and failure to maintain his lane. The incident occurred at the intersection of Andrew Young and Courtland Streets.
Stone was released from the Atlanta City Jail late Sunday afternoon after posting bonds totaling almost $1,600. (Source)
Hot 107.9 held it’s annual Birthday Bash last night and I’ve heard from numerous sources that both T.I. and Shawty Lo are still publically beefing. During both performances, each artist took the opportunity to take jabs at each other.
SmartSexyRich&Crazy eloquently recapped the events of the evening. But if you’d like to see the video of both performances, you can check them out under the hood…
Kanye West was angered fans during the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, a festival, held 700 miles south of Nashville, which was host to over 150 acts spread out over four days. Prior to Kanye’s scheduled performance, the festival had basically kept it’s schedule, however, due to the elaborate stage set up demanded by Mr. West his 2:45am performance turned into 3:15am…then 3:30am! What pissed festival go-ers off the most was that Ye didn’t take the stage until 4:25am and didn’t even acknowledge the delay!
West had originally been slated to perform at 8:15 p.m. Saturday night, but requested a late night performance. At least in the first hour of his performance, West didn’t address the crowd regarding the delay.
Later Sunday, the Bonnaroo crowd was still upset. Pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph led a “Kanye sucks” chant. (Source)
It was reported that the delay was also caused by the delay in breaking down Pearl Jam’s set. Delays are bound to happen, but Kanye should have addressed it. Nevermind. I already know that’s asking too much. 😕
