The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 22nd episode of its dramatic 7th season last night (April 12, 2015).
Last week, the ladies were feeling all ‘peaceful’ after embarking on a zen getaway to the Philippines.

Well, this week episode is appropriately titled ‘Chasing Nay-Nay,’ as newbie Clawdia Jordan opts for a refund on her ‘peacemaker’ title. Order is restored as the ladies return to Atlanta and resume all the hateful antics they are known for.
The ladies return to Atlanta from the Philippines and immediately get back to work. Kenya is in the midst of shooting her pilot, Life Twirls On, as Cynthia strives to perfect her accent for the role as a Jamaican salon owner.
Meanwhile, Kandi and Todd attempt to go on a romantic date, but Todd drops a bomb that leaves Kandi torn. Phaedra continues to feel the rippling effect of Apollo’s absence and is inspired to throw a charity event. Things take a turn when NeNe makes a cameo from New York and exchanges words with Claudia.

Claudia Jordan of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and actress/singer Teyana Taylor played host to The Gold Room last night (April 9, 2015).
It was a ‘reality’ star takeover in the club as Claudia invited all of her RHOA friends and family to celebrate her birthday, while Teyana joined in as co-host.

The hit Fox series EMPIRE left it’s mark with stellar ratings for it’s premier season but it seems that while the scripted urban drama has its fans, it also has an equitable share of critics.

Tavis Smiley is one EMPIRE’s detractors, and he voiced his opinion about the show’s lack of positive characters during a recent interview with Larry King, stating that the popular show reflects the ‘worst’ of black people.
“There is a debate in the black community that hasn’t really surfaced, hasn’t really boiled to the top yet, but I hear it in barbershops and other places,” Smiley says,
“that whether the problem with Empire is that it advances the worst of every pathology that black people have—crime and drug dealing and this and that and the other. A lot of people are looking for positive characters that may come out in the second season. But the first season, everybody is like, ‘Arhhh!’ ” Smiley stated.
