In case you’ve been under a rock, stuck in Atlanta gas lines, or are still checking for more MySpace drama, you may not have noticed that Atlanta has been taken over this weekend. Fresh off the heels of weekend proclamations such as “Luda-Day” and “SO SO Def,” T.I. has decided to claim his own dayum weekend!
The first annual Grand Hustle Weekend began yesterday in celebration of the release of T.I.’s Paper Trail (Sept. 30th) and the launch of his AKOO (A King Of One’s Self) clothing line. Schedule and additional information under the cut. Also check out a few flix of Tip’s in-store appearance in College Park and more photos from his AKOO photoshoot: Continue Reading…
Check out this interesting video of T.I. answering several questions about his career, his album and his life. Tip discusses how he got into the music industry and also names Jason Geter, Kawan “KP” Prather & DJ Toomp as a few of the people that guided him through his path to stardom. He also talks about facing rejection in the music buisness and what he did to set himself apart from the masses. All you MySpace rappers….take notes!
I’ve had Ice Cube’s Raw Footage CD in my iTunes for a minute…and I’m ashamed to say I haven’t even listened to it! This track, “Why Me” features Musiq Soulchild and I ran across the video today on WorldStarHipHop. The chorus that Musiq’s singing really rings true when you look at all the senseless violence in our world today:
Why you wanna murder me? You never ever heard of me
You don’t know who I am, I could be part of your family tree
Young Jeezy‘s president is Black & his Lamborghini really is blue! I spotted Jeezy getting his thug swagger on yesterday as he shopped at a downtown Atlanta location known for their large selection of kicks. I just happened to be walking down the street when I noticed his blue Lambo parked outside the trendy spot. Jeezy appeared moments later chatting on his cell as two of his boys helped him with several shopping bags. ((Side Note: It took 2 cars to transport all of Jeezy’s kicks & gear!!)) LMAO at dude’s t-shirt…how appropriate!
Being that I’m ALWAYS prepared for whatever, I discretely snapped a few shots from across the street: Continue Reading…
