While I was sleeping, my boo Twan hit up Atlanta morning show Good Day Atlanta to discuss his newly released project, Sir Lucious Leftfoot:Son of Chico Dusty (in stores NOW!) and also to speak about something even more important…. the kids!
Big Boi’s Big Kidz Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing socially conscious youth. It is his hope to create culturally enlightening experiences for kids who normally wouldn’t have those opportunities.
Their vision is to positively affect literacy, mathematics, public speaking, and artistic inclination through use of humanities.
On July 17th, Big will host a celebrity art event — Art of Life/Canvas for Kidz — to raise funds for Big Kidz Foundation. Participants will have the opportunity to bid on art from several of Big Boi’s celebrity friends, including Idris Elba, T.I., Ludacris, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, The Atlanta Housewives and many more.
I’ll be there front row center laughing my “A”zz off. I can’t wait to see what Tip painted! Seriously it should be a fun time for all.
