Andre 3000 was spotted in Toronto, Canada yesterday premiering the Spring 2009 line of his Benjamin Bixby clothing line, fresh off the high of his successful opening for Class of 3000 LIVE. I’m thinking Dre may have caught on and removed the knickers from his line…I don’t see any on the manequins.
Word on the street is that Chris Brown and Rihanna are somewhere recording a “makeup” duet together and it’s being produced by Polow Da Don.
The seemingly reconciled duo have been working on a duet that Brown is hoping to include on his new album, due out later this year, a studio source tells E! News. ‘They’ve been working on it together,’ the insider says.”
The E! News story also says that award-winning record producer Polow Da Don, who has worked with Brown in the past, has been “holed up with them at a Santa Monica recording studio for the past several days.” (Source)
Apparently, Polow encouraged Chris and Rihanna to record the duet as soon as possible to capitalize on the young musicians’ “heightened emotions.” The song was originally written to be performed by just Rihanna, but Polow felt the track would work even better as a duet. The song is reportedly about a couple overcoming challenges and sources say that the recording sessions have been “very emotional” and that “the feeling in the room was pure love.” I guess their lil fighting situation is a money making opportunity for everyone. I ain’t mad at all…
As I was perusing photos of the Atlanta Housewives the other day, I ran across this picture of the blonde “wiggy” one sporting a finger tatt. Hmmmm….I wonder how his real wife feels to know that her husband is literally wrapped around another woman’s finger?
If my eyes aren’t deceiving me, I think that tatt says “Lee.” Well, there’s really no need to guess. I’m confident you already know….but check under the cut for validation and a Derek J blonde synthetic wiggy moment in time:
The video above is about two years old but shows Chris Brown’s manager, Tina Davis in action during her former days as A&R of Def Jam. In case you’re wondering why or if you should even care…Davis has recently been revealed to be the mystery woman who sent the steamy text that caused the conflict leading to Chris’ alleged beatdown of Rihanna.
Sources tell us that the woman who left the three-page text message on Brown’s cell phone is Tina Davis. Davis — who turns 40 this month — was rumored to have had a relationship with Brown when he was 16. Brown and Davis have denied it.
Law enforcement tells us the text message to Brown talked about hooking up later — and it totally pissed off Rihanna. She slapped and hit him and he then brutally fired back.
The detective’s affidavit refers to the text message as being “from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.” (Source)
OK. So now what? He beat the young chick, he’s still kickin it with the old chick and they’re all stilllll together…so blah blah blah! Reminds me of my twitter conversations yesterday about the use of the word “text-ed.” I caught myself saying that word and literally laughed out loud when it came out of my mouth. I can almost imagine Rihanna in her island accent saying “Chris…who the hell was that who just text-ed you?”
You’ll be pleased to note that my TWITTER followers and I collectively decided that the use of the word is now off limits. See how we came to that understanding below:
Check out this cute photo of Andre 3000 I just received in my inbox. Dre looked happy and pleased at the closing of the first Class of 3000 LIVE performance at the Alliance Theatre Friday night. I’ve heard that Big Boi, Janelle Monae and several other ATL celebs were also there to lend support opening night. I still haven’t managed to check it out but a ton of great things have been said about the play. The one disappointment for most is that they were hoping Dre would be taking on the role of Sunny Bridges, but it’s being portrayed by up and coming actor Sinatra Onyewuchi.
Check out a few more flix from opening night below:
