Don’t get it twisted…I would never bash my president! President Barack Obama has been immortalized as a wax figure to be featured in Paris’ Musee Grevin wax museum. The figure was unveiled in front of the Eiffel Tower on Monday and was escorted by two real body guards. Tourists quickly gathered around to catch a glimpse of the U.S. President, totally unaware that it was a wax figure!
The Fake President + Two Live Bodyguards
“It looks really cool,” said American tourist Emily Artes. “Everyone was joking that he was actually here and that we were gonna take pictures with him.” The hot summer sun at the Eiffel Tower also threatened to melt the fake president’s face, prompting helpers to shade him with an umbrella.
The resemblance was so uncanny — down to the gray hair Obama is said to have acquired since the beginning of his presidential campaign.
After visiting France’s most famous monument, the statue traveled to Paris’ Musee Grevin wax museum, where it will stand alongside the likenesses of Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin.
The sculptor says it wasn’t easy to create a model of a man that he had never met, relying solely on press releases and photos. That’s right… the creator of this masterpiece, Sculptor Eric Saint Chaffray had never even seen Obama in person! Saint Chaffray has been creating wax statues for the museum for the past 20 years, and has worked on several American presidents in the past.
Dressed in a dark suit, the wax statue of Obama looked very serious. “We’re presenting Barack Obama at the Musee Grevin as part of a gathering of heads of state, which is why he has kind of an official attitude, a little bit stiff,” Saint Chaffray said. (Source)

I was catching up on all the pre-awards show footage from the 2009 BET Awards that I missed and noticed this spoof video that Rocsi and Terrence J did. How cute is it that they remade snippets of all of the nominees? Love it!
Peep the video below:
Reverend Al Sharpton and Joe Jackson got together today for an impromptu press conference. They tried to prepare Joe’s image by addressing last night’s Red Carpet debaucle, as well as revealed plans for a few memorial and tributes. I dunno bout you guys but anytime Sharpton is involved I get pretty nervous. Things are gonna get messy and we know it but does Al HAVE to attach himself so soon?
Papa Joe began his portion of the conference by saying, “I wish that Michael could be here to see all this.” He went on to say that Michael will be most remembered for his charity work and stated that “Sometimes he would go and cry about it because he felt sorry for the people he was helping,” When asked if the funeral would be private, Joe said, “I’ve never heard of a private funeral.”
As questions arose about Michael’s children, of whom Michael’s mother was just granted temporary custody, Joe said, “They’re happy with the kids that they’re around, cause we have kids back there that are small just like they are. They was never around other kids, they’re happy.”
Interpretation? Joe and Al have big things planned, Michael’s funeral will be huge and Papa Joe feels that Mike’s kids weren’t treated well by Mike… *sigh*

These few photos have been revealed to have been Michael Jackson’s final images captured on film. The photo above is from a handout photo provided by AEG/Concerts West and was taken May 6, 2009 as Michael prepared for the “This Is It” London concerts. The photos below were taken during his last concert rehearsal at Staples Center on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.
“I am devastated by the sudden loss of ‘The King of Pop,’ who I have photographed numerous times since the Victory Tour in the ’80s. When he hit the stage at rehearsal, I was thrilled that the magical Michael Jackson was BACK!!! I felt the same adrenaline rush as when I photographed him the first time moonwalking. I was so looking forward to shooting the O2 Arena performances with the amazing production that Kenny Ortega and AEG put together with Michael for his fans.” ~ Kevin Mazur, Celebrity Photographer and Founder of WireImage.com

Atlanta’s own Keri Hilson performed on her first major awards show wearing her ode to Michael Jackson….glittery socks and all. The diva performed “Turnin Me On” and “Knock You Down” and for her tribute to the King of Pop, Keri performed a brief dance number while Kanye’s verse “Bad Real Bad…Michael Jackson” repeated in the background.
I was waiting on Keri to belt out a classic MJ tune but was disappointed (yet again) all I could do was yell at the screen:
“Dance…Spin…Grab Yo Crotch… SOMETHING!! Dayum!”
Remember that game where you fell backwards hoping someone would catch you?
Keri obviously has no problems with trust…
